A little disappointed

It is difficult to give this item an accurate review. Quality is excellent, as is standard for most Carhartt products. What is difficult for me is the 'weight' of the jacket. It is far heavier than expected. I made a mistake by not initiating an inmediate return. I thought a quick, short was would correct the problem, but I was wrong. There was no visible change in the jacket, and I am no longer able to return it to Carhartt for a lighter item.

I built stick (Wood custom built houses) even worked winters with ice on floor. Carhartt got us thru. Great product.

Best Jacket Of Its Category

Best jacket of its category. Fits well, is very warm, and I like the absence of the Teflon-like finish applied to so many fabrics to shed water. Carhartt just uses tightly woven, heavy weight cotton and it repels water quite well.

My old jacket had the same lining in the sleeve throughout and also had an outside left zipper pocket.... was also regular fit and moss color.... disappointed in the changes

Excellent jacket.

I'm 5'9 175lbs. I usually wear a medium and this medium fits perfectly. The zipper is a little fussy but that probably because it's new. The fabric isn't super stiff. Very warm.

Runs Large

Nice jacket but it runs large, would've gotten a small had I known. Going to to have reorder correct size.

The new j140 is still great!

The jacket is really warm and very solid. Very happy with my purchase.

Material is too stiff and bulky

The material was way too stiff and bulky for my liking. Very uncomfortable to wear and oversized due to the fact that it was relaxed fit, which wasn't listed when I ordered it. Wasn't what I was expecting. Very disappointed with this purchase. Returned it.

Fit is Different

I usually order the men's jacket as it has always fit better & looser than the women's. I've have the older style jacket for years and decided to retire it as it's looking its age. First thing I noticed was the sizing - the arms are wayyyy too long. The knit cuffs are recessed because of this. The jacket itself is also roomier, which I actually prefer as I can layer in the winter now. Second thing I noticed was the zipper - difficult to start the zipper, unlike my other jacket. Now I probably could have gone with a smaller size, but I needed to use the jacket and didn't want to bother with a return & exchange. It will work for what I need it for. I just wish I knew before ordering that the sizing was changed. I'm hoping the durability & quality is the same.
