What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I took this whole setup out on a bluebird day of high-speed groomers, and every piece wanted the same thing I did, total commitment. The Custom X Camber snapped hard out of every turn, the Photon BOA's Dual Zone lacing held its cinch through variable snow, and the Cartel X EST's Hinge tech let me stay loose off side hits without losing any of that power."
We point the Custom X Camber Snowboard, Photon BOA Boot, and Cartel X EST Binding Package straight down the fall line on a morning when the groomers are still firm, and every edge set has to hold. This is a setup that rewards commitment, the camber fires back hard out of each turn, the boots keep their fit run after run, and the bindings connect every ounce of input straight to the board.
Underneath that speed, the Dragonfly 600G Core and carbon fiberglass layer sharpen the board's torsional feel, reading subtle changes in terrain instead of blurring them together. The Cartel X EST's exclusive baseplate and Hinge technology add foot roll and pop for side hits, while the Photon BOA's EST Optimized Midsole lowers your stance for a connected, surf-like feel that carries that same energy transfer all the way down to the edge.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best way to pick the right board/boot/binding sizes in the Burton Custom X Camber w/ Photon BOA and Cartel X EST package?
Choose your Custom X Camber board length based on your riding style (shorter for maneuverability, longer for high‑speed stability) and your body mass; select a wide board if your boot size is around US 11 or larger. Pick your usual Burton men’s boot size for the Photon BOA, and match that boot size to the Cartel X EST binding size (medium vs large) and the board width; use the product page size chart to confirm available lengths and width options. Are the Cartel X EST bindings in this Burton package compatible with other boards and bindings?
The Cartel X EST bindings are designed specifically for Burton’s Channel mounting system and mount directly to Channel boards like the Custom X Camber for full board flex and micro‑adjustable stance. The Photon BOA boots themselves are compatible with any mainstream strap binding in the correct size, but the EST bindings are not intended for non‑Channel, standard 4‑hole boards. What riding style and conditions is the Burton Custom X Camber w/ Photon BOA and Cartel X EST package built for?
This package is tuned for aggressive all‑mountain/resort riding—think high‑speed carving, steep lines, and firm or icy groomers—thanks to the Custom X’s camber profile and stiff, responsive setup. It will handle powder and varied winter conditions, but it’s optimized for precision and stability at speed rather than playful park or surfy powder performance. How do I mount and set up the Cartel X EST bindings on the Custom X Camber board?
The Cartel X EST mounts to Burton’s Channel system, allowing you to slide the binding interface along the Channel to fine‑tune stance width and setback; no traditional 4‑hole disc is required for proper EST fit on a Channel board. When setting up, start with a centered or slightly setback stance that matches your riding preference and tighten Channel hardware to a firm, but not over‑torqued, torque so the binding flexes with the board. What maintenance does the Custom X Camber board and the Photon BOA / Cartel X EST hardware need to stay performance‑ready?
Keep the Custom X’s sintered base waxed regularly and edges deburred and sharpened for maximum speed and edge hold, and dry the base and edges before storage to prevent rust. Inspect and tighten binding hardware periodically, clean straps/hi‑backs of grit, and dry Photon BOA liners after use while keeping BOA dials free of ice and dirt to preserve fit performance.
