Pacing The Pacific

Ep. 4 | Pacing The Pacific

What happens when your unchallenged speed record of the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail is finally taken? If your name is Karel Sabbe, you vie to take it back. Watch the trials—and triumphs—in our full-length documentary, presented by On.

Chasing The Limits

Running in the mountains is where Karel Sabbe feels his happiest. Professionally, he’s a dentist, but pursuit-ally, he’s an ultrarunner. The On athlete is known for his epic feats, tackling monster hikes and doing them faster than anyone thought was possible.

His latest venture—snagging the speed record for a supported run of the 2,650-mile PCT—is actually a repeat. Seven years after he snagged the record the first time, he returned to do it again.
