Boeshield T-9 was developed by the Boeing Company for lubrication and protection of aircraft components. It is a combination of solvents, lubricants, and waxes designed for penetration, moisture displacement, lubrication and protection. Boeshield T-9 dries to a thin waxy film that clings to metal for months. These properties make it ideal for bicycle chains, particularly in wet environments. Boeing also successfully tested T-9 in marine saltwater environments, and it protected against corrosion caused by the salt. If you ride on the beach or near the sea frequently, T-9 is likely the best choice short of manufacturing every piece from titanium. It will also loosen rusty and corroded parts and is safe on paints, plastics, and vinyls. 12oz. aerosol can.

Used this for the past 2,000 miles in varied conditions. Works ok, I suppose. Doesn't seem to last very long -- maybe 100 miles per application before chain gets noisy and shifting starts to suffer. Also, as another reviewer noted, it tends to build up on the derailleur pulleys and cogs over time, which itself slows shifting. Even when wiped down thoroughly after application, leaves a greasy black mess on your chain, which will be very difficult to get off if you get it on your clothes (ask me how I know). I will give it three stars, because my chain did seem to last pretty well, and it is not particularly expensive by today's standards. Cleaned it off and went back to my half-used bottle of Pro-Link, and have a much quieter, cleaner drivetrain.

Must have for cast iron tools!
So far so good. Works excellent and a little goes a long way. No rust at all and it has been a very wet spring.
