Soaked pole in hot water and the old one came off easily!

I have replaced flex tips several times in my BD poles (2 different models), they work perfect. Just keep in mind that to remove the old ones, you have to put them in very hot water for a few minutes, then are very easy to remove. Otherwise is close to impossible without damaging the poles.

No Go

I am unable to get the old tips off my poles after precisely following instructions provided. Therefore, although there is nothing wrong with the new tips, they are useless to me. And sadly, the trekking poles are soon to be useless as well without functional tips.

Tip replacements work great. Super easy to put on the used trekking poles. Like new again

Trekking pole refurbish

Many miles of hiking with my Black Diamond trekking poles wore down the original tips making them slip when least wanted at times. The ordering on-line and receipt of the Flex Tech tips from Black Diamond was super easy. The poles are as good as new now.

Not as easy to remove

Not as easy to remove the old tips but these new ones fit like a glove, like putting new tires on a car. Up the mountain I go.

Perfect

Able to replace my broken tip on my alpine trek poles. Took some work to swap, but bow it works great.

With a quick YouTube video to learn how to make the fix. It was really easy to deal with. So far it’s holding up perfect as well.

Cheap fix for otherwise good hiking poles

I've broken several of these hiking here in the White Mountains of NH. Between all the rocks and the recent spat of icy weather, I've been slamming these tips hard breaking them, but I love the poles that are otherwise just fine. Took a little effort getting the old ones off (dip in hot water for a couple of minutes before trying to remove and use a vice grip or adjustable wrenches) but the new ones went on easily. Glad they're back in stock!
