Apex gaiter
Order a size up a little smaller than advertised for a medium. I wear a size 9 shoe and the gator fits tight in a medium. Excellent construction, good quality product.

apex gaiter.
Black Diamond uses decent materials in their gear. The quality is always what it needs to be for the product. It does what they say it does. tthe straps are stiff and strong, good. but they interfere with packing. awkward.

Fitted and solid
These gaiter sare so much better than my older ones which weren't as solid (especially the instep/ankle area) and too baggy to the point they were dangerous (crampon grabs). These are much closer to the leg.

Mountaineering Gaiter
Great Gaiter. Works well on rock and snowy trails. Looking forward to many more climbs with them. Highly recommended herein.

Didn't know gaiters could be so good.
It had been a while since I had invested in high-end gaiters, and the Apex is now my quiver of one in the winter mountains. (I am a ski mountaineer, ice climber, and snowmobiler, so take my statement in context). The boot-to-gaiter interface is so well cut that it almost seems watertight. I love the robust anti-cut ankle reinforcements and only wish they extended higher up the leg. Calf adjustment was good, liked the buckle, but did have them loosen a bit over time. Overall, I'd recommend the Apex!

Great durable gaiter
Purchased these recently and used in knee deep snow at South Lake Tahoe. They kept lower legs dry and snow out of my boots. Feel durable but not enough time with them yet to give full review. Would recommend.

Awesome gaiter
I used this pair up hunting in the high mountains of Wyoming. It was raining the whole time and muddy! I wore these over my rain gear pants and was the only one in camp with dry feet… their gaiters let water run in through the tops. They also protected my pants from the sticks and logs and mud. The best part is I just cleaned them at a car wash :). Very easy to care for and they dry out fast. The gaiters stay up on my leg and do their job well. The metal “shoe lace holder” is one of the best I have used. The snap stays snapped as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is super hard on their equipment like I am. I brought them to Scotland with me to take hiking the highlands :)

Apex Gaiter
Durable, weather tight and a great fit. X-large fits perfectly over my size 10.5 hiking boots, a perfect fit around my calves and weather tight. Additionally the Apex Gaiter is reletively quite when brushing against vegetation, which makes them acceptable for hunting. I wear them in dry and wet conditions and never hike without them.
