Love this piece. Super breathable material but can be a bit delicate. Can snag easily. Love the generous hood. Really keeps the sun off. Runs a bit big in the body. I'm a medium and like a slim fit but kept the medium i bought because i have long arms.

Perfect for high elevation summers

I live in the mountains where we get hot dry summers, and this is a staple for me now. Already bought two more in other colors. Stays cool (cooler than it I wore just a T-shirt), protects from the sun, fits well, and keeps me warm for those early morning chillier approaches.

Alpenglow hoody

Great hoody, very breathable even in 90-100 degree weather. The front neh area is more covered and with the hood I don't suffer in the sun

Bought an Alpenglow hoody. In 25C (77F) I am soaked with sweat after a 30 minute walk. The shirt is wet on the back. Does not wick moisture or breathe. It’s the first and last one I buy. It says desert use..not a chance this would work…Stay away..

This is my favorite new layer to wear!

I was impressed by how comfortable this hoody is in a wide range of temperatures from very hot (90+ degrees) to mildly cool (50 degrees). So far I have not had any issues with odor retention.

This really works as advertised.

Purchased for a gift, the recipient is very pleased with how well it works to reduce the harshness of the sun’s rays and the intense heat while cutting an acre of grass once a week. The only thing missing, he says, is pockets in the front. (Like on the hoodie he no longer uses!)

Great gear for a day on the wall

Finally caved and got a sun hoody for long days out at the crag or on the wall. This hoody is so much better than I could have hoped. Great breath ability and fits great. Keeps me warm in the shade and cool in the sun.

Solid Sun Hoodie

I wear sun hoodies most days (highly variable temps and sun exposure at high altitudes) and I count the Alpenglow among my favorites. Light weight, simple design, and surprisingly durable given its breathability. I'm usually a fan of the thumb loop, but I don't really miss it on this shirt. I also appreciate the athletic fit as a relatively tall and skinny person!
