- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is a great piece of equipment to have, it is much smaller than I thought it would be which makes it incredibly packable. It has several different light modes, getting it initially figured out was a bit tricky, but it is seriously bright. Haven't taken it out on the field yet to see how the battery does but if it is anything like what it's advertised it will last a long time. Perfect if you are looking for a small bright lantern.

How it was done.
not just for the outdoors
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I got this light ( the blue one) about a year ago. I'm not a hardcore outdoors person but do enjoy hiking and the occasional camping or cabin trip. This item has found a place in my bag whether just commuting to/from work (battery bank), traveling abroad, or hiking upstate. It's light weight, I really like the kickstand which is stiff enough to hold the powerlight mini on your pocket or shirt or propped up on a table... suppose it's the little details that matter. This thing is ridic bright too for being so small and generally has great battery life, in a compact and light weight form. Checks all the boxes for me. Way better than carrying around a flashlight or battery bank or worse... both.
I carry this everywhere
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Hey Everyone - I'm Jonathan from BioLite. I may be a little biased, but the PowerLight Mini is one of my favorite products of ours. I literally carry this thing every day and use it regularly. It's a great battery backup to give a quick boost to a cell phone after a long day, and acts as a great bike light if you're out late and need to bike home in the dark. Works great as a camping light too - clip it to your shirt in place of a headlamp, or hang it inside your tent to light up the whole space.
Pro Tip: if you have two of these, you can put one on the back of your bike and set it to Red or Red Strobe, and another on the front using the Point setting - then clip them off when you're done riding to have a great flashlight/portable power pack in your pocket.
