The BioLite FirePit is the portable way to enjoy a fire without needing to find an existing fire pit. Works like a charm

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The Biolite Fire Pit is great. Coals and grilling or logs and chilling this thing functions very efficiently. Having hot coals left over after a fire or grill session is always a pain to deal with and creates fire and or transportation dangers. the Fire Pit will quickly and efficiently burn your coals or logs down to dust and it will do it almost completely smoke free. It seems durable and well built and it should hold up to a lot of use. Overall i am very pleased with the Fire Pit and would reccomend it to anyone who wants a mostly smokeless fire pit and likes to grill on coals.

    Biolite Firepit

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Amazing fire pit for entertaining or cooking. Only problem was that the app to work the battery powered fan always wanted to not connect. You can control the fan from the battery itself though so thats a plus. Overall, would reccomend this to anyone who enjoys hanging out with friends or just enjoys a nice smokeless fire.

    Bonfire and FirePit

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am fortunate enough to have both the Solo Stove Bonfire (birthday gift) and the BioLite FirePit (got an awesome deal that I couldn't pass up here on Backcountry). There are definitely pros and cons to each. The FirePit is very nice. I appreciate being able to control the airflow and having all of the items needed to cook included in the package (moving the proximity of the wood or charcoal with the grill rack). My wife really enjoys the FirePit's x-ray mesh so you can truly see the fire.
Comparing the FirePit to the Bonfire, the FirePit is lighter (although not on paper), has a more convenient carrying bag (the Solar Cover is a worthwhile upgrade), is easy to cook on, emits significant amounts of heat, and contains a large battery to provide power to any number of items. This is a great item to have for car camping.
The Bonfire is a great system. It is a much more efficient burn that does not need any additional power. By efficient burn I mean that it burns hotter, with minimal to no smoke, and burns down all of the fuel to ash. It is also easier to start a fire in than in the FirePit. However, the large round shape is cumbersome to move around and it does not fit easily into the provided carrying bag.
Ultimately, they are both really nice to have but I lean slightly towards the Solo Stove Bonfire. I use the Bonfire primarily at home because of the efficient burn (heat, smokeless, fuel to ash) and it being cumbersome to carry. I use the FirePit when traveling as it is easier to transport and cook with.
All that being said, I used the Solo Stove Titan when camping so I am very familiar with the system and enjoy the same feature that I described for the Bonfire. Therefore, I am familiar with the brand and the quality of their products. I have never used the BioLite Campstove2 system but would love to try it out to compare the two and see how the two brands compare with more than one product.

Perfect for picnic, car camp, river, etc

So as my profile says I am a sales rep and I rep BioLite, so I have used this over the last few months. It is great! The jets keep the smoke almost entirely gone and help control how hot you burn, the grill cooks great, clean up is easy! I really like how the fire is up off the ground like a fire pan used on river trips. Also, the screen mesh allows you to chill out and watch the fire through the screen. Just a really fun item!! And you can hook up the BioLite Site lights to it making the setting next level!!
