Sometimes you need to disconnect to reconnect. Grab the siblings you haven't seen in years, ditch the smartphones, and take the Backcountry Lodgepole 3P Tent on a week-long trip to reignite those family ties. You can divvy up tent parts among the team, but with a packed weight of under six pounds, there won't be many complaints if you don't. Plus, the easy clip-in setup makes for a hassle-free group activity while you're setting up camp. Two vestibule spots keep your packs dry if rainclouds join the fray, and they free up plenty of sleeping space for your trio to spread out. Two zippered doors make access easier on everyone, while the well-ventilated canopy keeps fresh air to a maximum. If clear skies take favor on your group, you can ditch the fly and spend time bonding over the constellations.

Sturdy and packable
For a non lightweight/ultralight class weight tent, it packs down pretty small and has a great weight for a 3 person tent if you are getting into backpacking or just need a good campground tent. Great for a first tent, and still has excellent potential if you are just upgrading, or adding another shelter to your closet. This serves a great purpose for any camper. The crossbar expands room well and provides the vertical walls for enjoyable and cozy living space with 2 average sized humans and 2 dogs (75 & 35 pounds). The materials from mesh, rainfly and clips seem durable without being overly weighty. While I have a very light weight backpacking tent besides this, there are times I still use this in the backcountry, and always use it when car camping. I know it will stand up decently well in the winter provided the winds are not too rugged, as I have endured 45mlh gusts in this without being anxious about the construction
Great for a mix of things
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I Love this tent. It is really durable and made by reliable people. There is no reason not to have a lower profile, durable tent like the Backcountry Lodgepole tent. If you are packing with 2 people or stuffing 3 people in here, you can split the weight no problem. Otherwise, this is a great tent for car camping or a short pack into somewhere. It takes almost no time to set up with its pole system and easy snap body clips.
-2 doors for great for easy exit/ entry to not disrupt your camping buddy
-2 vestibules are great for easy gear storage
-heavy for backpacking, but doable with split weight
- no prebent pole system- less headroom
- no gearloft
Amazing Tent For The Price!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This Tent is perfect for backpacking! It packs down to 22 x 8 inches but if you pack the poles on the exterior of your backpack it can pack down much smaller about 8 x 12! I love the no seem em mesh, perfect for stargazing! If the weather takes a turn for the worse, the rainfly is super easy to put on! The Interior of the tent has inner clips that let you attach a wireless speaker or light with ease. or whatever else you can imagine hanging! Plenty of room for two people plus gear. It does get a little tight with three, although that's expected with a backpacking tent. The Material is very durable. Overall Amazing tent for the price!
