Love my bibs

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Medium

I've boarded in these 3 times so far and they've kept me cozy and dry. No wet butt! I think they run a bit big, but I would rather have extra room flexibility snowboarding. Happy with all the pockets and zippered back panel for easy trips to the loo. I don't think I will ever wear them as pants. I don't think they'd velcro enough to stay up. Bibs are best anyways.

Quality bibs for price. Form fitting but still roomy for underlayers. The waist zipper for bathroom break is a great feature.

SO wide in hips

These are so awkward and wide in the hips. They also just feel horrible like they wouldn't be comfortable to wear all day.

I own a couple Backcountry Cottonwood jackets from previous years and love the series. They are good quality and very functional, so I ordered this year's jacket and the matching bibs too. However, the fit is a lot larger compared to previous years. Yes, I'm petite 5'1 and 100lb and the previous year's jackets (xs) were also a bit big on me but not huge. This year, the jacket sleeves completely covered my hands with extra length, and the torse was a solid 3 inch longer. As for these bibs, they're both too long (probably ok for girls over 5'5) and too bulky. The waist has too much extra room even when wearing layers and protective gears. This is not a big issue when in the bib form since the shoulder strap will keep the pants in place, but makes it very uncomfortable to wear in the pants form even with a belt, because all the extra hard fabric bunches around the waist.

Hello all, I too was weary of the sizing that others have reported. I am athletic build and have thighs! I can squat 200lbs easy, have had two kids, double mastectomy, in my 40s and skiing since I was 2. I was thinking about ordering an XL based on getting older and not wanting thing too tight, I called a gearhead and chatted (thanks Willam) and ended up ordering a Large instead. I couldn't be happier! It's not too big in all the right spots. I feel I can move and maneuver anything the mtns huck at me. Size measurement that might help others: Thigh measurements on bib: ~ 27in ,my thigh measures 25, so I have give room. Bee Happy and Ski On!

Went with the reviews saying it runs big… I ended up sizing down and now have to return it because it’s too small. My true size is small which is what I will have to order. I’m 5’2 , 135lb and wear a small for reference.

When I tried it on at home, I felt it was a bit large. So please do go one size down. I love the color and the texture. It’s easy to just zip off the bottom when using the bathroom. Got a lot of compliments. I have black boots with bits of rose gold, so it’s also color coordinated for me! Love it and wish they had more color options.

Would love to keep these as the materials and construction feel top notch. Not enough brands understand that women want pockets, so I LOVE this functional design. However, these bibs are going to be returned. My chest and waist measurements fall between Backcountry's Small and Medium sizes, with hips that measure Small. Therefore, I bought the Small bibs. However, it's waaay too roomy in the upper body even after putting on ski clothing (including a puffy jacket) underneath. I even pulled the Velcro belt across to its max, but it bunched up the bibs everywhere else across the torso, and was still loose. I probably could size down further and exchange them for the XS, but I decided I couldn't live with the 32" inseam (2" to 3" longer than what I need). Feedback to Backcountry - I'm willing to spend the money on your awesome gear if you offer diverse sizing such as PETITE and TALL. Not all of us have 32" inseams nor good tailors for technical outdoor gear!

This is my second pair of bibs that Ive owned and by far my favorite. I have only worn them three times so far but they keep me warm and dry! All of the pockets are amazing! The one issue I have with them is that if I unzip the top part of the bibs off to make them just pants, the velcro belt doesn't go tight enough so I had to get a seperate belt if I want to just wear them as pants.
