Odd fit

I thought the option to have bibs or no bibs would be great however the no bibs option was strange around the waist. 5’8 150

Another killer product from the minds at backcountry. These bibs are BURLY! very tough fabric that might feel a little stiff.heavy to some, so beware. Comparable to the Arc-teryx 3L ski fabrics. BIG NOTE: these are a full size bigger than the previous iteration. Literally went from a medium to a small and they fit exactly the same. The upper "bib bra" is much higher than the previous version, so maybe a little stuffier, but also more storage....for snacks. The fit is great, moves with you. The "zipper highway" at the waist is opposite the previous version, so if you had any bright ideas about interoperability, it's a no-go. Overall, a killer set of bibs that will probably hold up for years.

Great shell bibs with plenty of features including ability to remove bib and wear as pants. Not form fitting but still cute. Runs large - I was planning to get a medium for room but after reading reviews went with the small and glad I did. I’m 5’7” and 130lbs.

Bibs are awesome!

I have never worn bibs until now. These have made me a convert. They were warmer, kept me dry(no snow up the back wiggling around in deep snow when I fell) and more comfortable. Going to the bathroom was harder but there are lots of different zippers to accommodate this. I preferred the side zip but others may have been willing to use the waist zips. The sizing is generous to allow layering and ease of movement. I highly recommend. I purchased an xl and feel the sizing guide was spot on. The bibs are a gore laminate so no moisture issues and the fabric seems more durable being a resilient texture.

I've boarded in these 3 times so far and they've kept me cozy and dry. No wet butt! I think they run a bit big, but I would rather have extra room flexibility snowboarding. Happy with all the pockets and zippered back panel for easy trips to the loo. I don't think I will ever wear them as pants. I don't think they'd velcro enough to stay up. Bibs are best anyways.

Quality bibs for price. Form fitting but still roomy for underlayers. The waist zipper for bathroom break is a great feature.

These are so awkward and wide in the hips. They also just feel horrible like they wouldn't be comfortable to wear all day.

I own a couple Backcountry Cottonwood jackets from previous years and love the series. They are good quality and very functional, so I ordered this year's jacket and the matching bibs too. However, the fit is a lot larger compared to previous years. Yes, I'm petite 5'1 and 100lb and the previous year's jackets (xs) were also a bit big on me but not huge. This year, the jacket sleeves completely covered my hands with extra length, and the torse was a solid 3 inch longer. As for these bibs, they're both too long (probably ok for girls over 5'5) and too bulky. The waist has too much extra room even when wearing layers and protective gears. This is not a big issue when in the bib form since the shoulder strap will keep the pants in place, but makes it very uncomfortable to wear in the pants form even with a belt, because all the extra hard fabric bunches around the waist.

Hello all, I too was weary of the sizing that others have reported. I am athletic build and have thighs! I can squat 200lbs easy, have had two kids, double mastectomy, in my 40s and skiing since I was 2. I was thinking about ordering an XL based on getting older and not wanting thing too tight, I called a gearhead and chatted (thanks Willam) and ended up ordering a Large instead. I couldn't be happier! It's not too big in all the right spots. I feel I can move and maneuver anything the mtns huck at me. Size measurement that might help others: Thigh measurements on bib: ~ 27in ,my thigh measures 25, so I have give room. Bee Happy and Ski On!
