Paddle like a girl.
Most PFDs are unisex, which is generally code for, "designed for men", but Astral's Layla Women's Personal Flotation Device is actually made for women. The articulating front panels are designed to hug your curves, not squeeze them to death, and a side zipper and quick-release side straps help you dial in a comfortable fit, so you can actually get your PFD on and off. A front pocket closes with a large buckle to prevent accidental openings, and the nylon and polyester construction won't tear if it snags on branches or rocks.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I love this PFD. It's comfortable and cute! The side zip is a genius feature making it easy to get on and off. The adjustable straps on the shoulders and around the waist are super easy to tighten and the front pocket is a bonus. You can fit a beer in there, a camera or whatever else you need for easy access. All around the best PFD! For reference, I'm 5'3", 34B chest and wearing size S/M.
Great women's pfd!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I have a large bust and this vest is very comfortable and easy to adjust to fit my form. I swam a pretty big rapid and it popped me up right away. Plus the color is cute and the front pocket works great as a beverage holder. ;-)
Will this work with my sit on top kayak? I am 36DD and were size 10 and sometimes 12 jeans. I wear a large a hoodie. Will the l/xl fit me? Does this offer good flotation? How safe is it to be wearing on my kayak?
Hi Ashley, I would guess that you will have no issue. I am newer to Astral as a rep, but I do know that the Layla was designed to fit larger chested women very well. It will be great for your sit on top kayak. The flotation offered is good enough for class 4-5 kayakers!
