Why We Like The Abbey Bike Tools L. L. Chain Wear Tool

Chain wear measurement just got more precise with theAbbey Chain Wear Tool. Unlike standard tools that miss critical details, this tool is engineered to account for the variance in roller diameter found in modern chains, including SRAM’s flat top chains. By using a V-shaped notch, we can locate the roller center with pinpoint accuracy, ensuring we get a true reading on linear wear. Even more impressive is the tool’s ability to measure lateral wear, a game changer for maintaining drivetrain performance. CNC-machined to the tightest tolerances, the Chain Wear Plate provides the durability and precision serious cyclists need, making it an essential tool for those who care about their bike’s longevity and smooth shifting.

Precision Tools Made Precisely

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Hands down my new favorite bike-specific tool. Who doesn't love Abbey Tools? They re-think tools and make them beefier, better, and well.. green. Speaking of green - bike components are expensive! They suck to have to replace, especially if it's due to user error.. like riding a worn chain on a a top-tier drivetrain (yeah SRAM flattop chains, I'm talking to you). This tool is CNC'd from solid billet, and has 2 variations of measurement (lateral & roller wear). Given that 1x drivetrains are increasing the frequency of cross-chaining, this lateral measurement is much appreciated. Did I mention it's green?
