The 5Dev 8-Bolt Titanium Chainring is CNC machined from titanium, which holds its tooth profile under chain load through extended use in a way that aluminum doesn't. The contact geometry stays consistent long after an aluminum ring at the same mileage would show wear at the tooth tips.
