Hyper Glide Splitboard Skins with Tail Clips
The Voile Hyper Glide Splitboard Skins With Tail Clips are designed with quick, efficient ascents in mind, but don't sacrifice grip, either. A blend of mohair and nylon provides enough grip to get you up the slickest skin tracks, but also delivers effortless glide and saves space in your pack when it's time to transition. A waterproof membrane between the fibers and adhesive prevents the glue from becoming saturated and losing its stickiness, while a hydrophobic treatment on the skins themselves ensure you don't have to keep stopping to clear off built-up snow and ice from the bottom of your planks.

Easy to install and great performance
- I've used it several times
I'm very impressed with these so far, in both their performance and their ease of setup. The glide is definitely better than the old orange tractor skins. The glide seems similar to the Black Diamond mohair mix skins, but it's hard to exactly know unless you test them back to back on the same day. I haven't noticed any issues with grip, but I haven't used them in very icy conditions yet. Compared to other skins I have touched, these are amazingly light and thin, but they still have a surprising amount of stiffness to avoid snow getting under the edges. So far, the glue has been very strong, but still reasonable to pull apart. However, what really puts these above some of the other options is that they are so easy to setup, since they come pre-cut in different sizes. This is a serious benefit that I initially discounted compared to the black diamond and jones skins. The tip and tail connectors are some of the best I've seen (tip is low profile and tail is simple, light, and easy to stretch), and since they are pre-attached, everything is perfectly aligned (the inside edge is already trimmed), which reduces the risk you will make any mistakes installing these. Since these apparently use similar Pomoca tech, I don't know exactly how they are different than Jones skins, but with the really easy/adjustable setup and lower price, I have been very happy with them. Other companies should really be offering pre-sized skins for splitboarders if they want to justify the prices they are charging... Anyways, that's what I learned from researching and upgrading my skins this winter. These were a brand new product when I bought them, so there were no reviews at first.

have tried most of the splitboard skins on the market starting with the old purple ascensions to the invasion of the euro brands. And I have to say I love the new Voile Hyper Glide skins in most conditions. Pomoca material and glue fitted with Voile's no BS hardware makes for a light and fast package. These are easily half the thickness(not a scientific assessment), of the old Orange car mats from the mid-2000s. After a few weeks in the Wasatch with a variety of conditions these are working out pretty well. I walk in a lot of variable terrain—bashing scrub oak, stepping on rocks, tree roots etc and these are starting to wear. But then again the plush is much thinner than a full nylon skin. Also if it’s icy you better have ski crampons. But for the majority of conditions I love these things. The glue is fantastic, the glide is fast, and the grip good enough. If you don't want to shell out the cash for inferior tail clip on the jones skins, and G3 glue has burned you in the past--give these a shot.
