Great boot!

I’ve had these boots a year now, enough to write a solid review. I’ve been up three different peaks with these boots. These boots are warm- not too warm. They’re not too rigid either, which is a problem I’ve had in the past with winter boots. My latest winter adventure was heading up Mt. Pierce in the White Mtns with a fresh 6in of snow and -14 windchills. They performed splendidly- the laces kept tied better than my friend’s Merrills- never had to retie my boot! Two criticisms- I find the tread on the bottom is not the best for ice and snow, I prefer larger lugs for grips in the snow, which tend not to get stuffed with ice and snow. Also, I think the top of the boot could be a little taller to accommodate the top lace. I find that the top of my laces end up going above the tongue of the boot on occasion. It’s not every time I wear the boot either and suspect placing up is a little finicky and something to get used to. Otherwise, I am very happy! The boots stay laced, my feet stay warm without sweating and they are attractive looking. I do wish there were different colors!

Great waterproof hiking boot

I bought this boot in preparation for a trip to Iceland in the fall. I thought I would use this winter to break the boot in for the trip. I have hiked about 15 miles in this boot and I love them! Easy to break in. Sloshed through mud and small creeks today with no leakage. Boots are warm enough with only light wool socks. I hope the boot continues to wear well as I put the miles on them.
