    Eliminate the torturous break-in period.

Forget battling with painful blisters and the stiff, board-like feel of traditional hiking boots with the instantly broken-in comfort of the Vasque Men's Breeze III GTX Hiking Boot. Offering comfort straight from the box, the Breeze III GTX bucks the trend of taking weeks or even months to fully break in your hiking boots. Not only does it provide this broken-in feel the moment you slip your feet inside, but just as importantly, it's more breathable than ever when you're trekking in sweltering conditions.

Nubuck leather uppers maintain abrasion-resistance on the trail, reinforced with a rubberized toe cap for protection from rock strikes. Strategic ventilation panels actively circulate air inside the boot, preventing overheating in hot weather. Sealing out pouring rain and shallow stream crossings, the Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane keeps your feet pleasantly dry in soaking-wet conditions. This waterproof membrane is the most breathable in Gore-Tex's line, meaning your feet won't soak in sweat from the inside-out during hikes.

One of the most important features of any good hiking boot lies within its shock absorption and aggressive grip underfoot. Fulfilling both of these needs, EVA cushion pods soak up jarring vibration while the Vibram Contact Grip maintains reliable traction with every step. The Vibram sole employs a MegaGrip compound for unrelenting grip across variable terrain, ranging from slick rock outcroppings to slippery moss-lined boulders and dusty desert trails.

    One nit to pick

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 10
    • Height: 6'
    • Weight: 190lbs

First my nit to pick about these boots is minor, the lace hooks are too big and can make lacing these otherwise great boots up a little tedious at times. That's the bad. They wear lighter than they look and what the specs say. Water proofing seems to be very good and the traction in the snow and on wet floors is excellent. Comfortable to wear all day doing work and walking around, with no issues on break in or hot spots. I normally wear a 9.5, with a slightly wide foot. The sizes seem for me to run a tad small, the 9.5 seemed to be a 9.25, but the 10 while a shade big fits better than some of the other boots I have at 9.5. All in all this boot is aces and if you can find it on sale do not pass it up.

Perfect fit, note about speed lace hooks

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 11
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 185lbs

I bought these to replace an aging pair of Vasque boots originally purchased around 15 years ago. The older pair are still holding together, but with winter coming in I decided to get something better adapter to winter. Anyway, I ordered the same size as the previous pair and they fit identically. Sort of like just stepping into the same boot. The only issue was that the speed lace hooks were a little large, for the laces on the boots, which caused the laces to fall out while tightening. This sort of turned speed lacing into slug racing. No big deal, I remedied by lightly squishing the hook with a pair of pliers. Now they are perfect. Light, comfortable and waiting for the first big snow.

    Husband loves them

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 11
    • Height: 6'3"
    • Weight: 195lbs

I bought these for my husband and he is really happy with them. They have excellent traction (enough so for more intense hikes), are waterproof, and provide a lot of support. They are a little bulky and big but that is to be expected from boots of this type.

I've had this boot for almost a year now, and I have put it through a lot. I have found myself wearing this boot much more than I thought I would. I have been through water and snow, and have never gotten socks wet. They have been hiking, climbing, and even deep mud, still look like they have years of life left in them. I find myself wearing them whenever I don't have to dress up, and for walking on concrete, stairs, long city walks, busy days at work, and even airsoft events, these are by far the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Never hot, never sore. I highly recommend these boots to everyone, and will always own a pair.

    Amazing Boots

I love these boots. I have worn these boots hiking all over California. I have put hundreds of miles on these boots and they have never failed me. I have literally summited mountains and crossed rivers with these boots. They drain very well and are incredibly tough.

    Best hiking boots to date

Never had a nice pair of hiking boots and this one is world's apart from my previous pair. It's lightweight, stiff, and rubber is sticky for scrambling up scree fields. It's pretty comfortable right out of the box, too. Since it's a nice, snug fit; I'm not sure how great it would be if you have wide feet.

    Great boot!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I just took these boots down to Zion National Park and hiked around for a few days. I hiked on several different surfaces- rock, sand, creeks, etc. Theyrs comfortable from the first wear, have excellent grip, and I validated the waterproof claim. I highly recommend these!

    Just keeps getting better!

I had the original Vazque Breeze's from probably 12 years ago. Over 1,500 miles in them. Could use softer sole inserts and new laces, but they were still holding up pretty well (a bit firm).

I went ahead and upgraded to these, the Breeze 3's, and I love them! Great for hiking, waterproof, and feel broken in straight out of the box. Highly recommend these boots.
