The Best Skate Shoe Ever, Even Better

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 10
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 170lbs

Vans Slip-Ons are hands down the best skate shoe ever made. They're simple, comfortable, timeless, and obviously easy to put on. Since Vans added the Pro line to their classics a few years ago I have had a pair of black Slip-On Pros in rotation at all times. The suede upper is an improvement over the original canvas adding tons of durability and texture if you are skating them - instead of blowing through the original canvas toes after an afternoon of skating them. The Ultracush soles of the Pro are also a step up from the original slip on sole adding more cushion, support and comfort while standing around or skating, while still offering the same great board feel of every original Vans shoe. The suede construction of the Slip on Pros definitely takes a few more days to break in, but once they do, they fit like a dream. And finally, black suede goes perfectly with everything, anytime.

    Vans or bust

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 10.5
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 175lbs

Worn pretty much nothing but vans since I was 15. This was actually my first pair of slip ons, which is crazy but I'm glad I finally got a pair. Got the camo and they're awesome. Super comfy with the ultracush and you just can't beat the classic vans look. I always go a half size small in vans, I don't know if that's just me or they do in fact run a .5 size small for everyone. Usually wear 11.0, got a 10.5 and it's a better fit.

    Classic

I’ve always loved a good pair of classic vans. The only complaint I’ve had and I continually have them with vans is that they don’t last as long as I would hope. That being said, they’re not the most expensive shoe, so I still think they’re great!

      Watch out!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

      • Size Bought: 9.0
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 162lbs

So I'm a 9.0 in their normal slip ons and in these also, but just a heads up they come with Ultra Cush insoles, which my feet had to be crammed in and couldn't wear comfortably since they were so thick. I got some slim insoles and they fit perfectly. Not sure if I have fat feet but they were really unbearable until I swapped the soles

      Laces, who needs 'em?

      - Jeff Spicolli

I love my slip-ons, I'm on my 4th or 5th pair in a row now ever since Vans started putting the Pro-Cush insole in them. The extra cushion in these makes them amazing for skating in, and all-around more comfortable for just wearing around town, etc. Plus the low-key minimalist look of these will always be in style.

      Amazing shoe overall

This shoe is fantastic, owned a couple pairs in the past few months and they are truly some of the most comfortable shoes I've had. The cushioning is very supportive to the arch of my foot, the simplicity of these shoes is also pretty unique and make it easy to take on and off. The shoe is also a great skate shoe, thick sole and pretty lightweight.

      just too goooood

these shoes are awesome, I am an avid Vans guy and these are so comfy. Easy to slip on and off and haven't stretched enough to be loose. The exterior black suede has stayed surprisingly very clean. I was worried about sizing since it is a slip on but I bought a 10 regardless which I normally wear and it fit like a glove. Stoked and will buy all the other colors available eventually I am sure. Get your self a pair!

      Just so gosh darn neat.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This was my first pair of slip-ons, so I was unsure on sizing. I ended up getting a half size down than what I typically wear, which was a squeeze at first, but now that they have broken in a bit, and they fit perfect. Way comfy and great to wear all day, great support for cruising around on the skateboard as well.
