    No interruptions.

The last thing you want to worry about when you're rallying over perfect stretches of tacky singletrack is a first aid situation that requires you to pause your ride to deal with. Rather than having to take inventory of your injuries after every crash, Troy Lee Designs' Speed Elbow Guards will let you save that for the big ones, protecting your elbows from everyday encounters with trailside trees, rocks, and the ground with 4mm D3O foam cushioning and an abrasion-resistant cover. The sleeve is lightweight and breathable with its airy mesh backing and synthetic construction, and a silicone gripper band makes sure it doesn't move around while you're busy picking fast lines through root-latticed descents.

    Runs large, stretches out

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I concur with the previous review. I ordered size XS/S per the size chart. They were initially loose around the biceps and fit well in the forearm. They have continued to stretch to the point of being inadequate protection. Troy Lee makes speed knees in youth, but not the speed elbows :(

    Comfortable and lightweight. Oversized.

Comfy and light protection for the trail. I'm 6ft 180lbs average build and the M/L slides down my arm. Unless you are ripped, go for the S/XS or plan on hitting the gym to beef up your biceps. The M/L slides down even when I put the armband around the should piece of my TLD body armor.
