Speed Elbow Guards

The last thing you want to worry about when you're rallying over perfect stretches of tacky singletrack is a first aid situation that requires you to pause your ride to deal with. Rather than having to take inventory of your injuries after every crash, Troy Lee Designs' Speed Elbow Guards will let you save that for the big ones, protecting your elbows from everyday encounters with trailside trees, rocks, and the ground with 4mm D3O foam cushioning and an abrasion-resistant cover. The sleeve is lightweight and breathable with its airy mesh backing and synthetic construction, and a silicone gripper band makes sure it doesn't move around while you're busy picking fast lines through root-latticed descents.

  • D30 foam is flexible yet absorbs and distributes force
  • Abrasion-resistant pad cover withstands trail abuse

No More Scrapes/Scratches on My Arms!

I've put it through the wringer

Purchased Feb 6th, 2019 These pads have held up extremely well. They have been washed multiple times per week for a year now. They have taken multiple spills and have kept my arms and elbows pretty safe. The top of the pad has gotten a bit loose, but I have never had any issue with them sliding down or not staying in position. I do all my MTB riding in FL, so it's usually hot AF, they only make things a touch warmer but well worth it for the added protection. Highly recommend and think I can get another year of regular use out of them.

Not bad for the wee arms

I've used it several times

First, I have normal lady arms. No bulk in either the muscle or extra fat department. I have the xs/s which are not meant for wee lady arms. With that said, PLEASE make us more lady specific gear.... They did slide on very nicely, they are very comfortable, for the bicep portion having give for the muscles of a man, the wrist section is tight. fine on me, but they would be super tight on a man. I have fragile little wrists so they fit snugly in that area. Oddly enough, i havent fallen since i have worn these. much to my elbows previous experiences which had me with no skin from my writs up. these have great coverage. arent bulky. a little warm, but i wear a tshirt over mine for more air flow. maybe due to the sweat, i dont have any slippage. I really like the low profile of these and feel confident when i wear them. **worn these about 15 times now and although they are snug around my wrist they have warm out around my bicep. They are stretched out a bit and tend to slip down my arm. Kind of like nylons around an old ladies ankles....thats sort of the look they seem to be going for. regardless, im going to sew them a little tighter or add some sort of velcro to sinch them down. i love them. still super comfy. holds up well when i fling off the saddle. no ripped elbows for this gal.

YES! Troy Lee Designs- please make a more specific elbow guard for ladies! I also got the small and had to sew the top part to fit my arms, otherwise I love these.

Light and Comfortable

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
True to size

I was impressed with the fit. Didn't feel like I was pushing a camel through the eye of a needle. Stayed on the arm easily. I really liked the wings that cover critical points on your elbow. You wouldn't even feel that this thing is on your arm.

Hard to size

These run a little big, be sure to try on before!

hard to size

I've put it through the wringer

Not easy to get elbow pads to stay on your elbows. That's my general problem with elbow pads. These pads seem to stay put really well as long as the sleeve fits your arm. The pad itself is not thick at all. Will save you some road or dirt rash but not a thick hard pad if thats what you're expecting.

Runs large, stretches out

I've used it several times

I concur with the previous review. I ordered size XS/S per the size chart. They were initially loose around the biceps and fit well in the forearm. They have continued to stretch to the point of being inadequate protection. Troy Lee makes speed knees in youth, but not the speed elbows :(

Comfortable and lightweight. Oversized.

I've used it several times

Comfy and light protection for the trail. I'm 6ft 180lbs average build and the M/L slides down my arm. Unless you are ripped, go for the S/XS or plan on hitting the gym to beef up your biceps. The M/L slides down even when I put the armband around the should piece of my TLD body armor.
