Sweet style and comfort!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Great bag with lots of options. I have used it for everything from flights to commuting to and from work in Park City. Can't go wrong. Fits my new MacBook Pro perfectly with lots of extra room.
Alright, but you can probably do better

This bag has a lot of potential but there a couple key issues that kind of kill it for me.
First off, on the Timbuk2 website they list this as a '15" Macbook Bag". I have a Dell XPS 15 which is actually slightly smaller than a 15" macbook (the Dell is 14.06" wide) While the laptop itself does fit in the padded area, the strap that holds it in place doesn't actually fit around it. It's about half an inch too short to be able to wrap over the computer and secure the velcro. Not the biggest deal but since this is a rolltop bag it'd be easy to not have the top secured and have the laptop fall out the top when you are say pulling this bag out of your trunk (which is what I do with it a lot) So now the strap just gets in the way and serves no purpose. Not sure why they didn't make it a little longer to actually securely hold the advertised 15 inch macbook.
Second, this bag is not comfortable at all. I'd almost say it's uncomfortable but that really depends on how much stuff you have in it. The straps and back have a minimal amount of padding. This isn't the biggest issue for me personally since I usually am just carrying it from my car to work (about 1/3 mile walk from where I park) but I can't imagine wearing this on a bike.
The frame of the bag itself is kinda stiff and boxy. I think this makes it look weird but I suppose that might actually help protect what is inside the bag. I thought it looked pretty good in the pics but on me it looks kinda weird.
The bag actually is pretty small but that's not a negative since you know the size before you get it. But for me to put my laptop in it along with some gym shoes and a tshirt and shorts takes up most of the room. If you are looking for a bag for school where you'd have a lot of books I wouldn't recommend it.
I really like the pockets on this bag as they are pretty well thought out (with one exception) There is a small pocket on the front for smaller stuff, another pocket on the front/top which is perfect for the power cables for your laptop (though on mine the stitching has already started coming apart which is disappointing) and there is another smaller pocket on the inside which has a zip closure which is nice. However, there are pen holders on the outside of this pocket which is directly opposite where your laptop goes so if you put any pens in there they are going to rub up against the outside of your laptop and possibly scratch it.
There are some chest compression straps which are removable which is nice, however the pointless bottle opener is not removable. The rear opening works well when trying to get just the laptop out of the bag if it is packed with stuff, which is good since if you have just about anything in there with it it's gonna be packed.
All in all for the price paid this bag isn't terrible. For my uses it's adequate. However I wish I had a chance to see it in person before buying it as I think I could have probably found a better one. If you commute a long distance or need to carry a bunch of stuff I don't recommend this bag. If, like me, you just need a convenient place to store your laptop and associated cords, accessories to walk a short distance it's probably alright, especially if you get it on sale.
Great Commuter bag
This is a great commuter bag. Hold all your stuff as you ride to the office and still looks professional enough to carry inside. Enough room to hold what you need and pockets to keep things organized.
Better than Jansport
Great bag for the price. The laptop sleeve is awesome- I always feel like a pro at air port security. It's a pretty deep bag so sometimes it's tricky to get something out without dumping everything you own onto the ground, but that may be due to my lack of organizational skills. I like that it makes me look cool on my bike.

Snagged this for a buddy's birthday and he loves it. He'd been eyeing it for awhile and was super happy to finally get one! He wanted it for travel mainly, but uses it more for work. Very durable bag, kinda heavy, but will definitely stand up to the elements.
