Luxurious comfort fit for a king.

Lay upon Therm-a-Rest's LuxuryLite Mesh Cot for cooler ventilation while camping in summer. Therm-a-Rest's patented BowFrame design uses close-to-the-ground feet and sturdy aluminum bars that you'll never feel thanks to the stretch-free mesh fabric. This cot breaks down to fit in an extremely compact carry bag for car camping trips or bicycle tours.

    Poor design and/or fabric quality

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The cot is comfortable and spacious but the areas on the fabric where the supports are attached are not strong enough. The first time I disassembled the cot, the foot caught the mesh fabric and it ripped. I have no idea how long it will last but I'm hopeful since it's too late to return it.

    Lightweight Cots!?!?

These are light weight and robust. I like that you can customize the firmness by deciding how many cross pieces to install. Once I get this dialed in, I'll leave the extras at home to save even more weight. I'll be much happier carrying these than my old cots, since the are a 75% reduction in weight! They fit in smaller space, too, so they fit well in the dry bag for river trips. There are two trade offs for the low weight: more effort (but not terrible) to set up and they are low to the ground, so tougher to get out of. All in all, though, I think these will be great.

      Real sleep comfort!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

At roughly 4 lbs, you no longer need that punture prone air pad and ground cloth and now a lighter tarp shelter / bug bivy can replace that typically heavier tent ; if it imposes an extra pound considering all of those factors, the sleep comfort is well worth it to me.

      My new bed

After testing this and the ultra light version I chose this because I was planning to use it as a daily bed. It is a little bigger yet still packs down super light and I liked the idea of the mesh for more airflow and it was quiet while moving around. The cot is super tight so I never feel any sagging. I paired it with the luxurious memory foam NeoAir Dream sleeping mattress and am blown away every time I sleep on it. It’s a perfect combo. I look forward to more comfortable camping trips and everyday use

        Great cot

I used it about 10 times last year and slept very well while I was kayaking or car camping. I do not mind putting it together but I do mind taking it down. I am so worry about forgetting a part and leaving it behind. I do use a mat with it too to soften it up some. It does need a better bag to keep the poles and all the other parts together.

          Clever girl

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I haven't had a chance to sleep on my cot yet, but I have assembled it a couple times now and I feel like a pro! The design is so clever, the rounded feet won't damage the tent bottom and it feels very strong, fits well in my 2p Marmot Firefly.

Update: Used it with my Thermarest Luxury Sleeping Pad in my Marmot Firefly for 3 nights this past weekend and it was AMAZING. I swear that cot/pad setup is more comfortable than my spring mattress at home. It has to be set up inside the tent which was slightly challenging in the heat, but once it was ready it was smooth sailing. Love this product, super happy I bought this cot!

          Unanswered Question

Does this Thermarest Luxury Lite Mesh tent squeak when you move around on it like some reviewers said the ultralite version did?
