EvoLite Sleeping Pad
While some ultralight sleeping pads fold over you like a taco the moment you get in your sleeping bag, Therm-a-Rest's EvoLite Sleeping Pad has a bit of foam to add some structural support to your backpacking trips. It weighs around a single pound, and packs down small for an easier time packing and hiking. The valve self-inflates so you can set up camp quicker.

- Q & A
Not very durable, good warranty though.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Extremely comfortable the air chambers became unseparated after about 15 nights of use. The result was a pad with huge lumps in various places; it was basically unusable. I talked to a other people who have used the same pad and the same thing happened to a few other folks. Fortunately, Cascade Designs stood by their warranty and ended up shipping me a different pad for the same value and I had a better experience with it.

it's what I wanted
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This being my first inflatable sleeping pad, I will say that I probably won't ever go back to normal foam pads. This pad is almost close to sleeping on my own bed. The size and weight of this pad is perfect for backpacking trips.
Decent sleeping pad for the weight. Packs well.
Not sure about this one..
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I'm not sure what to think about this one. The instructions say that when you get it you should take it out of the packaging and unroll it with the cap open so that it will self inflate. At first, mine wasn't able to do that, so I had to blow it up. I let it sit fully inflated for the first 24 hours as well and then took it camping. While camping it still struggled a little with the inflation on its own, but it's really easy to inflate it on your own as well.
The size is perfect for me! It gave me enough coverage while tucked into my sleeping bag and then packed down tiny for being packed out in my bag. The weight will be perfect for backpacking trips as well.
I just wish I didn't feel like the self inflation was a gimmick.
– I was surprised at how small this pad packs up. It is extremely light and does not take up much room when packed. It’s definitely a must for any camping trip. I’d never had a sleeping pad before and was shocked at the difference it makes. It is also not loud when you change from your back to your side like some sleeping pads can be.
Best Ground Pad YET!!!
Was looking to upgrade the Thermarest I had for about 15yrs. Was looking at the NeoAir but held off because of how loud it can be. I love the EvoLite because it encompasses the NeoAir and the traditional Thermarest into one. Also, I typically like to sleep on my side & the EVolite is perfect if you are a "side sleeper"
