Bulletproof jacket for almost all days!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Large
- Weight:
- 195
Been looking for a jacket which could handle anything I throw at it and I think I have safely found the one. Despite this jacket not having insulation, it was super toasty with only having a sun hoodie on underneath. The jacket itself fit true to size in my opinion. I'm 6'0", about 195lbs, with about a 6'1" wingspan and the Large fit great on me. The jacket had plenty of large gear pockets to stash skins on the downhill or extra snacks for the uphill. Took it through several tight tree runs up here at Alta and there isn't even a scratch on the jacket from brushing up against tree limbs. This jacket would be 5/5 except it doesn't seem to have a powder skirt or the option for one. While I did not test this item on a powder day, I had snow go up my arms and stomach after taking a couple big falls. #BackcountryGearhead

One of the best designed ski products in a while
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been bouncing around between Patagonia, Arcteryx, Mountain Hardwear & I've finally found the perfect fit in TNF. I'm 6'2" and currently overweight at 220, most XL are too baggy in the arms and the body is fine but tend to be short. I was able to get into the L in this and super happy with the fit. The length on this is especially great. Does it have a powder skirt? No, because it's meant to be paired with the bibs (I picked those up, also awesome). The pockets are all well designed and I particularly like the cuffs on the sleeves, very easy to pull over gloves. Also the hood on this is a really nice design too, very easy to ski with it up which is really nice! Thanks for a great product, just really hoping durability stands up because this jacket is not the most affordable, but so far well worth it.

Verbier jacket: premium piece that delivers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use for backcountry, resort, and uphill skiing. The good: excellent hood and tall stand up collar, good placement and quantity for pockets, FutureLight fabric feels great and protects as well as or maybe better than GTex. Breathes pretty well worn with a base layer on the skin up. Articulation and fit is both functional and comfortable with one caveat on length (read on for more). Pit zips, dump pockets for skins/gloves/etc., chest pockets and a special slot for phone or radio are all there and super functional. A couple things I don't love: the sleeve length is a bit too long for my liking. The design of the cuffs is meant to cover the top of the hand, and it does this (like!) but combined with sleeves that are a bit too long, makes it awkward for me (no bueno). The overall length is definitely toward the free ride style. I generally like this but wish the overall length here was just a bit shorter. Color of the two tone red with black looks awesome. Zippers are all quality and work well. Overall, a good investment piece of gear that is great for anything you can put it through.

Happy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is awesome. It does not have a powder skirt though. I know it does show that in pictures but it threw me off guard a little. This is a shell so it does run a little big.

I would buy this product again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great ski jacket for cold weather and snow. The length keeps my lower body warm and adds a layer of protection when sitting on the chair lift. I like camo pattern and colors.

Great jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ski and this jacket is perfect. Def layer on a colder day but waterproof and roomy. Like the colors and design too. Would recommend for sure.

Initial impression is all positive in every category, but...
Initial impression is all positive, every category I would rate my INITIAL impression as literally as good or better than any jacket I've owned or tried on in person. Fit, feel, move-ability, waterproof ability, quality, look, function, pockets, zippers. All 10/10 no complaints so far, HOWEVER I am considerably concerned about Durability and how long it will look and feel this good because, I read a review online that stated the material after only 20 days of moderate use was visibly worn, discoloration was occuring and small cracks and tears were beginning to show. I only mention this because after reading that I could see that the material does appear to be VERY thin and doesn't appear to be extra durable but maybe my impression of this is wrong. It might not degrade like the person's in the review. So just making it clear this is just an assumption because of how light and thin material is. Now this is also a really good thing because it makes it extra comfortable to wear and I retain full flexibility without any hindrance so that's great news. I just pray it lasts longer than a month. I'll check back in after a months use and complete this review.. INITIAL impression- beautiful, excellent, impressive. 10/10 Long term impression TBD....
