Why We Like The North Face Summit Breithorn Jacket

We like The North Face Summit Breithorn Jacket for its versatility, ranging in use from a mid-layer for a cold day on the slopes to a warm, lightweight jacket for a day in the city. 800-fill ProDown insulation will keep your core temperature warm and comfortable while its recycled nylon ripstop body fabric with a DWR finish keeps you dry in wet conditions. Four total pockets store your on-the-go essentials, including the left side hand pocket which stows the jacket when the sun comes out and you need to shed a layer.

Boo on the short sleeves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rating is intended only for North Face and not customers. This jacket is beautiful, and I'm sure it has great features. I didn't purchase it, but I see that you are already getting poor ratings on sleeve length. Years ago I purchased a summit series jacket that is still the only jacket ever created that has long enough sleeves for me. At 5'8", I'm not even that tall, but I have arms like a gibbon and legs like a giraffe. I know there are many other tall or lanky women who are shut out of great or even good outerwear options because of sleeve length. North Face, you could do so much better if you'd consider that women can be tall, and even small tall like me. We'd all like to wear clothes that fit. Think about what it would be like to have exposed wrists when it's -30 degrees outside. And I don't want to hear another sales person suggest I get longer gloves! Please consider my request. Thank you. GiGi

Awesome Summit Series Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Summit Series North Face jacket is everything‼️ Lightweight but keeps you warm! Exterior pockets as well as interior pockets (big enough for a wrist purse and your cellphone.

Dreamy Warmth for the Sierra

Familiarity:

Love this jacket. Been using it as a layer for skiing and also for those chilly mornings/evenings backpacking in the Sierra. While it weights a bit more than my previous Arc'teryx Cerium LT and does not pack down as well, it is very warm and to this point been very durable. Time will tell overall, but so far so good.

Material too see through

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the light lime green. Material was too sheer, could see the down fill underneath.

Unexpected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Under the proper lighting condition and sun, the feather shows through the ripstop fabric. I'm unsure if this is a cosmetic feature or defect of the jacket, but be aware...For a jacket at this price, I expected a solid color on the fabric without seeing the down feathers.

I'm on the fence

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've purchased couple dozen Northface products, i.e., waterproof shell pants, fleece pants, 5 thermoball jackets, etc. So, I was excited to get this red Breithorn jacket because my daughter made off with my red thermoball. The fit was a little off but more disappointing was actually seeing the feathers through the fabric. Tis' unacceptable for a down jacket at this price and I would expect it to be warmer at colder temps. I didn't think it was that warm which mimics some other reviews.
