Why We Like The Shellista IV Mid Waterproof Boot
The Shellista IV is a modern take on one of North Face's classic designs, and it just might be our new favorite boot for snowy days in the hills or slushy days in town. A mix of full-grain leather and ballistic nylon comprises the upper, which is capped with a subtle ring of faux fur for a touch of style. The lower boot is waterproof and features a Surface Control rubber outsole that confidently grips in the snow, ice, and slush. 200 grams of HeatSeeker insulation wrap our feet in toasty comfort when the temps drop to freezing and below.

I'm part of the "too small" chorus
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- 7.5
- Height:
- 5' 3"
- Weight:
- 117
I normally wear a 7 in Merrells or Olukai shoes, a 6.5 in Reef sandals and a 7.5 in most running shoes such as Nike or Asics. I figured I'd be safe ordering the Shellista boots in 7.5. Wrong!! The toe box is very narrow and I have a narrow foot. The heel was a little higher which was fine but my foot shifted forward making these boots even tighter. Too bad, as they're cute and seem nice and warm. Back they go! I'm not taking a chance with a size 8. I had the same experience with a pair of Sorel Tivoli IV. It's as though they were made by the same manufacturer.

Runs WIDE. Good for light use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid winter boots are necessary in Maine. I've had these for a couple months now. They've been used to cheer on kids at XC Ski races (my toes stayed warm for hours!), thrown on for the grocery store (very comfortable) and used them for snowshoeing and with microspikes up a few mountains (heavy use miles with no damage, so far). Overall, I am satisfied with these boots. The warmth and waterproofing are exactly what I needed. The grip is also good. I took a star off because they run beyond the normal range in width. My feet are average, maybe a little narrow in the heel, with high arches so they move around from side to side quite a bit, even with heavy weight socks on. If you truly have wide feet, you'll love them. If not... it's not ideal. I'll replace these with something else. The lace design is off as well - the material and shape of the laces cause them to untie easily with a lot of movement. I'm switching them out but I haven't had this problem with other boots in the price range.

Returned
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The boots looked really nice, but I went half a size up based on other reviews, but they were still too small. The soles also didn't bend at all when I tried walking in them. Maybe they would break in over time, but I can't speak to that. In the end I returned them. I can say that the return process was really easy.

Absolutely not. Only leaving one star because you can't leav
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am stunned by the cheesy materials and design of your Shellista boots. I ordered two pairs one a half size and one full size larger than my regular size. Both were too small. Previous I owned a pair of North Face boots that were a half size larger and fit perfectly. Really disappointed in the "quality" of your boots. Will never make the mistake of doing it again

Terrible boots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't impressed with these boots. They run very small. I ordered a size bigger than my normal size and they were still too small. The tongue of the boots was very stiff and felt very uncomfortable. I have had several pairs of North Face boots and loved them but these boots were terrible. Don't waste your time, I sent mine back!

Love these
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fits like a glove. Like they were custom made for my feet. Perfect. Compared 5 different boots and these blew the others out of the water. Hands down my fave.

Nice but looking for boots I can drive in
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight and comfy but the ankle is rigid so would be difficult for driving where you need to flex the foot
