The North Face Men's Horizon II Cargo Pant is perfect for hiking, traveling, or climbing in warmer weather. Lightweight nylon ripstop helps the Horizon II dry quickly, resist abrasion, and protect your skin from the sun's harmful UV rays while the DWR coating sheds water to help keep you dry in rainy weather. Tough Pants

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I've put this pants through some rough stuff and they keep on truckin. I use these for all of my outdoor activities. Hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing. These are great because they are light and breathable when i am on the trail, and they are tough enough for when I head off trail to stand up to all the bushwhacking. They also dry super quick, so I don't even bother to use rain pants because these will dry so quickly. They even keep most of the water out of your socks and boots when you are really getting wet. But you could use gaiters to make sure of it. I don't hesitate to wear these in the creek when I want to cool off, or do some fishing. They will dry off in no time and be ready for more. I will say that they have "piled" a bit, for lack of a better word, with all the bushwhacking I've done in them, but they still don't have holes from the wear and I've used them for about a year or so. They did get a hole from an ember that landed on them, but it melted the nylon fabric and the hole doesn't get bigger. These also wash well. I have gotten tree sap out of them multiple times without too much hassle.

Pants? Pants.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 30/long

They're light, rugged, breathable, and rather stylish. I'd say the perfect pants for summer hiking if you're like me and don't like shorts, or to wear long underwear under for chiller weather. Just purchased another pair and wrote this review even though my first pair is still perfect after a year of use.

Get 'em while they're hot

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 32 long

What can I say? You can't go wrong with these guys. Very lightweight and breathable. They run true to size. I got the 32 long (which is 34 in length) and they're spot on. Never worn TNF pants until now, and I love 'em!

Good fit

I bought 2 pairs of these pants. They fir true to size. I'm 5'10", 175 lbs. I wear a size 32. They have a nylon/wind pant feel to the outside. And a mesh-like liner inside. If you're gonna be out in colder than 35 degrees, I'd definitely opt for a base layer too. Pockets are a good size.

    Get 'em while you can

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I had never heard of these pants until I saw them here. They seemed good and the price was right. After I received them, opened the bag, and tried them on, I immediately went back to this web site to buy more. Unfortunately, only one color left in stock was my size, so I only bought two more pair. Nice fit, nice pants, feather light, and they look so much better in person than they do in the picture here.

    The perfect pant

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

This was a first-time purchase of this pant for me...and I am so happy with it that I just bought two more. I needed a lightweight pant for work, durable, but comfortable and business appropriate. I wear a shirt and tie with this pant and it is perfect...for work or play.
