Not fit for purpose
The outside pockets were made of very flimsy material that ripped after one trip. Needs to be more durable. Had to return

Comfortable, spacious and confusing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the bag I was disappointed to find most of the bag is navy. I'm sure I will be glad for the 5 degrees in temp this will save during summer expeditions but I bought this bag thinking it was TNF Black as described. Bummer Comfort is second to none- the trampoline back, adjustable waist and the dynalift features make the burden of such a large pack much less. The bag weighs less than 4lbs and is incredibly light for its size. Lots of features but 0 explanation as to where they are or how to utilize them. The hydration sleeve for example- not even sure it exists? If it does it's very, VERY small. The path to route the tube is marked by a water droplet on the bag but as to where the bladder goes there's no obvious spot. Spacious as they come, there is plenty of room for all sorts of creature comforts in this bad boy and well thought out placement of pouches for easy access to essentials. The light weight of the bag makes me nervous as to it's durability but permitting I don't get too fresh with any tree limbs I reckon I'll get some good use out of it.

Great pack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super light and comfortablefor me. I love the outer pockets for quick access and wet gear storage. It would be nice to have a rain cover included with a storage compartment, but it doesn't.

Great for Laugavegur Trail
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took this backpacking for four days in Iceland. I loaded it up. It was perfect. My shoulders and neck are not sore at all.

Great pack. Wish it had extra tie down area.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pack. Super light and yet durable. Have gone on two separate multiple day hike trips. Plenty of room for all the items needed. I wish it did have some more tie down area or moly type straps so I could attach my exterior items like a first aid kit.

Issue with design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would give this pack a 5 star review. However, there is one fatal design flaw. There is a "buckle" on the bottom of the bag that will dig into your back like a knife! This "buckle" is used to adjust the torso height. It is in the worst possible spot as it will cut into you if you're carrying 30 lbs. note- in looking at the picture on the site, this buckle is not present on the website. I've talked to customer service and the only option is to send it in under warranty. Well...it's fine per the design....it's just a horrible design! I'm not going to pay to ship it just to hear "it's fine". 2 months later, pay to ship it back.

Bomb Proof Pack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to size, big load hauler if you need it in colder situations, when you'll be packing more. And is light weight for it's size, for those hot days when you are saving on the weight. Looks good, and it does everything extremely well. Great for a weekend, or a thru- hike. Plus it's The North Face Promise, the last pack you would ever need.
