Apex Risor Softshell Jacket
Find the balance you need between keeping warm and staying cool on frosty morning trail runs and laps around the Nordic track with the North Face Apex Risor Softshell Jacket. Windproof WindWall fabric is super durable and keeps you dry with the help of a DWR coating that's waterproof enough for a drizzle if not a monsoon. WindWall bonded softshell is the perfect option for cold weather cardio, with a fleecy and soft brushed lining against your skin to keep you warm and no heavy insulation to cause overheating when your heart rate gets going and you start breaking a sweat. Don't let looming clouds keep you inside on the weekend; throw on your Apex Risor softshell for the protection you need from snow flurries and icy wind.

North Face quality isn't what it used to be. The fabric is stiff, shiny and noisy...plus the collar rubs the underside of your chin even when it's not zipped all the way. The logos are no longer embroidered and look very cheap now. Used to be a great product, my advice is to keep looking.
How does this product compare to the north face apex bionic 2 jacket?
How does this cope in high altitude conditions (aka hiking above 10,000 feet). I’m interested in using it during summertime, but still need something to deal with wind and cold.
Hey there Rory!
This jacket won't be affected by a higher altitude. It is made with Windwall fleece which feels soft to the touch and warms up quick! It is a polyester jacket so it will feel nice and durable. It is also very soft on the inside! This would be a great 3 season jacket! I think it would work great on cold summer nights, in the fall or the spring!
