Comfort and support
I've always bought the Teva Hurricane for hiking and just general walking comfort. The Universal Trail is even more comfortable with more cushion and they seem very well made so far. The bottom is not as rugged as the Hurricane but I love these for walking around. I would highly recommend.

Love these shoes- hate the colors
I bought a pair of these a few years ago and basically have worn them everyday since. I hiked el yunque in pr in them with no issue the first week I had them. I want to buy a new pair but I hate the new colors!!

Wanted to Love Them
I really wanted to love these sandals. I had previously had the Hurricane XLTs and had developed some blisters towards the end of their life on my toes. I attributed this to no padding, so I got these because they have padding on the straps and looked beefy enough for the hiking and fishing I do. I have developed blisters on my toes and the outside heel strap every time I have worn them. The heel strap is not adjustable, so even with the right size shoe, it doesnt fit my foot properly. This was my second pair of Teva sandals I have purchased, and likely my last. I really really wanted to love them, but I just cant.

Great customer service
Placed order but discovered i ordered the wrong color. I called and they shipped the right color the next day. When both shoes arrived I loved them both. Great fit, so comfortable.

Not as good as Original Teva sandals from the 80's..90's.
These shoes, though comfortable and lightweight, are not like my old Teva's that lasted for 15 years. The sole of these shoes have no distinctive tread, and I wouldn't trust them on slippery bouldering in a creek or river. The straps are very thin,not like the heavy duty material of the original river sandals. I understand that TEVA has been bought out by Decker Shoes,and it seems like these shoes, though sold under the Teva brand, may be knock offs.

Comfy & stylish
I've been searching for a pair of sandals that is durable, comfy without compromising on aesthetics & this universal trail checked off all the boxes!! I wasn't sure if I had to "break it in" but to my suprise it was ready to go. Wish they came in more colors.

Great sandal
Great all around sandal that's comfortable to walk in. I've been on some longer hilly walks and that were great. No blisters or discomfort right out of the box.

Highly recommend
Love them so much! I was a lil thrown off on the color because they have pink accents which I'm not a fan of. I was expecting neutral sun and moon like just beige, tan and black but they have a pale pink and pink is not neutral for me...but overall the functionality of them is fantastic. I have no issues whosoever with them as a daily sandal. When they get dirty I just hose them off and hang to dry and they're good as new. I think they're very supportive sandals, even when wet.

Yes I would buy these shoes again.
I bought my first pair locally, so I knew what size to order. I like that both straps are adjustable, as my feet swell as the day progresses and I can loosen them as needed.
