A lightweight take on all-road.
By now, it's expected that a frameset emblazoned with Storck's logo is going to be ridiculously light, and the 2017 T.I.X. Pro Cyclocross Frameset is no exception. For riders looking for a unique, high end steed that can push beyond the boundaries of pavement to gravel, packed dirt, and the occasional local cross race, the T.I.X. is right up your alley. It begs to go fast, and Storck's proven stiffness-to-weight expertise makes it a bike that, with the right engine, displays remarkable energy across the challenging conditions of all-road adventuring.
Storck shapes the T.I.X. Pro with carefully layered unidirectional carbon fiber to create a frame with a notably low claimed weight of just 940g. The featherweight T.I.X. frame is constructed with Storck's hallmark Directional Depending Stiffness design, which involves shaping transverse-oval tubes in a carbon layup to equip the frame to hit muddy ruts and uneven terrain without sacrificing expert handling. This balance of rigidity and comfort means the T.I.X. Pro can hold lines and absorb fatiguing chatter while maintaining a ride quality that doesn't feel painfully rigid.
The T.I.X. Pro receives its own unidirectional carbon fork design as well, the Storck Pro Fork. The Pro is specifically fine-tuned to complement the frame's adept handling and enable you to take advantage of the T.I.X.'s eager acceleration without sacrificing precision. Storck does this by engineering the fork to flex when forces are applied from the trail or course, but the inclusion of a thru-axle means it won't yield under braking forces, resulting in steadfast control with some added smoothness.
It's worth noting that the T.I.X. Pro utilizes a front 9 x 100mm thru-axle and rear 10 x 135mm thru-axle combination. It's a unique design choice in comparison to the more standardized 12 or 15mm front and 12 x 142mm rear combo, so you'll need to do some research on available end caps to make sure your favorite wheels are compatible with this frame.

Nice Frame but WTF with the through axel
Ok so I purchased this frame to build a Gravel CX bike, Evne cockpit, post & wheels, Durace running gear, this should have been a sweet set up. The frame itself is outstandingly light & stiff. The issue I had was building it up, the front through Axel is 9mmx100 and the rear is 10mmx135 finding end caps to suit was near impossible, I had to manufacture my own drilling out QR caps to the sizes required. I would have expected 12x100 front and 12x135 rear. My Bad for not checking the diameters before purchase!
Hi Ian, you're right, this is a funky through axle standard - in 2017 thru axles hadn't settled on 12x142 and 12x100 for gravel bikes. DT Swiss, Industry Nine, and several other brands have end caps to fit this standard.
