Great value

Easy set up, affordable, spacious. Only cons were that the zippers on both the tent and the rain cover stuck a little bit, and there is no footprint, but not a huge deal. I've used this twice, the first time there were torrential downpours for most of the night, and no water got in top or bottom. There are some negative reviews saying they wouldn't want this on a mountain in winter or whatever, but if you're buying a 4 person tent for under $100, you are most likely car camping once or twice a year, this will work great.

"You get what you pay for"

this tent is fairly mediocre, materials used to make it are kind of cheap and flimsy. I definitely wouldn't want to use this in 3-season weather. The interior fabric was fraying, leaving little strings of thread all over the place, and overall just doesn't stand up very well to wind and rain. The zippers get stuck constantly. I got it on sale or with a discount for under $100 so I got some use out of it. I would definitely recommend paying more money to get a better tent if you need a quality experience. if you want a cheap tent for a limited use (music festival camping) it's probably fine if you can get it on sale.

Great tent!

It's a great tent! It goes up and comes down very easy and fast. Perfect for dogs because the mesh does not go all the way down and therefore eliminates the possibility of the mesh being scratched/ripped. Only suggestion is for the stakes to be a little stronger, but that's minor. Love it!

Missing Parts

The tent was fine, but the rain fly only had 3 corner buckles, with a giant loop at the fourth corner, so it is not possible to anchor the rain fly to the framework. Returned defective item.

Children's Play Tent

Go with a quality brand if you actually want to go camping. This is a fair weather children's play tent for the backyard. If you need to camp in foul weather make sure you seam seal it first and pray. You get what you pay for.

Almost perfect

We used the tent for the first time this weekend. We got rain in the middle of the night and it held very well. No leaks. Very easy to pitch by one person. I give it 4 stars because the stakes are aluminum and very bad quality. They bend unless you are pitching the tent on a patch of grass

Great spacious tent for the price

I bought this tent on sale as a great car camping tent for me and my dog (and often a friend and their dog). Very spacious, easy to assemble with one person camped in it in snow and summer conditions. I did recently have my fly punctured when the wind carried my tent away but besides that, it's been good to me especially considering the price.

Amazing waterproofing

During a trip with this tent, our campsite flooded during a storm… we had 3-4 inches of standing water around our tent. The bottom turned into a waterbed as the water flowed underneath our tent. However there was not a single DROP of water inside our tent. We stayed completely dry even though we were sitting in water for almost an hour! I was completely blown away. For the price, this tent is incredibly high quality.

I really like this tent but...

I have multiple tents that range from Big Agness, Eurika, Six Moon, Coleman, Rural King, and the Stoic. I've had the Stoic Madrone 4, four years now and it has always performed well for me. Unfortunately, one of the tent poles split the last time I was out, and Back Country does not carry replacements poles. My only option is to use a tent pole splint or replace the tent.

Bought this to camp in the backyard with my 3 yr old grandkids. So far so good. Even when we got stuck in the rain. Kept us dry with the fly. Plenty of room to even add the dog
