Warm but HUGE

Warm jacket and it's refreshing to find a women's jacket where the sleeves are long enough but holy cow this thing runs big. I'm 5' 10" 150, broad-shouldered, and typically wear a medium/large in outerwear. I got a small and it's still very oversized. Probably could have gotten an XS.

I really do love this coat! I had to size down to a small becuase it's pretty oversized but even the arms were still long enough. My only complaint which I had read in other reviews before purchasing is the how rough the zipper on your face when you zip the jacket all the way up. It would be such a small change that would go a long way when you're really bundled against the cold!

Threads started ripping the first day and I have a hole after only having it for a month. I just use it to go on early morning dog walks, not doing any crazy activity, either.

I was looking for a warm, water resistant, long-length jacket for walking the dog every day during spring/fall/winter in the Northeast woods. I bought two pricey Rab down jackets here over the years, both ripped on sleeves multiple times due to snags on tree branches. Positives: NO RIPPING! Tough fabric. Water resistant in rain, warmth in 30-40s temp, long length, Evergreen is very nice color (dark enough to hide stains but more interesting than black). Two way zipper and side zips for easier walking. Hood stands on its own, blocks wind well. Can wear a warm fleece underneath with my normal size small. Did not size down because I wanted to wear with fleece underneath. Negatives: No frills, kind of like a blanket with snap buttons. Feels a bit hefty when you pick it up, but doesn't feel heavy on. No inside zip pocket and side pockets are not deep or zippered. The hood is NOT fleece-lined like they say above in description. Ladies, this is a basic, need to be warm for a decent price kind of jacket. Would not pay full price for it, but for sale price, it was just what I expected and I'm going to wear it until it gets above 50.

I was nervous to buy this based on the reviews but took a chance because of the price. It’s extremely warm and the “design flaws” don’t bother me like other reviewers. The hood is nice and large and doesn’t need drawstrings. The zipper does not bother me. The pockets are roomy and it is extremely warm. It does run VERY large. I would normally wear a medium. I ordered a small and it runs a touch on the large side. The sleeves go all the way to my fingertips. It has a slim profile though, and the simplicity and color are so pretty. Very happy.

I'm a solidly Medium sized woman ... 5'7 ....29/30 jeans waist generally. Based on reviews, and the look on the model, I purchased a Size SMALL (which of course I am not!) and it was an exemplary fit. I love it so much that I purchased two in different colors! (perfect color choices and the amazing sale price!) Since I do not purchase anything made with down, and in consideration that this coat is perfect for any of the lower temps that the lower 48 throw at me...it was a no brainer. Hood is excellent and I can disappear into it like a startled turtle... I cannot attest to the glitches others have mentioned yet as I have worn only half dozen times with none of those issues confronted thus far....

The good stuff: warm; no animals died for this; a two-way zipper; lots of fill; washable/dryable; rugged outer material that is wind-proof and no doubt water resistant. The less terrific: a pocket that was not sewn so my keys went directly to my hem; pocket fabric that is extremely thin; over-sized; a giant hood that has to be held to stay up. I use it to walk my dog. The price was good. I sent the first one back b/c it was way too big, despite the claims of the sizing guide. I will continue to use it. More attention to details and maybe one day using recycled materials and sizing that is not pure hypothesis would improve this garment greatly.

So promising BUT!

So I am having the same experience with this coat as another reviewer . The finishing details are missing. Zipper is sharp and there is no fabric to protect the chin and neck. the pockets are lined in thin nylon and are stitched weirdly with a seam that sticks out so you cannot slide your hands in smoothly. Should be flannel lined for warmth and sewn correctly with zippers to tuck belongings securely. Hood needs bungee type tighteners to keep out drafts and to ensure that hood stays put. Such promise but unfortunately its going back. with a redesign i would give this 5 stars. love the side zips and the longer length for walks on cold days. runs roomy for layers if need be. sturdy ykk zipper.

Runs large, very warm. The zipper design is a bit jagged and cut/scratched up the bottom of my chin and my neck when I had it on for 30 min without a scarf. Great length, color and material, however between the scratchy zipper and lack of any zipper pockets, I decided to return.
