Why We Built The Groundwork Double Sleeping Bag
We made the Stoic Groundwork Double Sleeping Bag because it's challenging enough to find a sleeping bag for two, and it's even harder to find a bag that feels comfy in colder and warmer temperatures. This double-wide sleeping bag offers soft warmth even when the forecast calls for gray skies and morning fog. You're welcome to cozy up with your partner, or unzip the bag into separate parts in case someone heads out on a solo mission.

Good trailhead camping bag

This bag is a nice economical alternative to a down sleeping bag if you are only going to be trailhead camping. I am not sure it is 20F though, I think 30F would be a more fair rating.

Even unzipped and with the two bags doubled up there's no way this would get through a 40F night. Returning.

Just OK

Pros: it is a double sleeping bag for a decent price, and my wife likes it. Cons: it’s definitely a Summer bag only. The 20°F rating is ridiculous. The color also looks more washed out than the photos (I got the oatmeal), and feels… cheap. Summary: my wife likes it so we will keep it… but curb your enthusiasm.

Took it out of the box and tested out the compression straps to see how small I could get the bag. The plastic two prong clip instantly broke. I'm going to have to get external compression straps to solve this, or get another compression bag. Like the other reviews, this bag's lowest temperature is 50 degrees if you're alone, and maybe 40 degrees if you have a partner. I know my Fiancé will be cold, by just looking at this bag. I'm not going to be cruel and give less than three stars, this is a double sleeping bag for less than $50 on Steep and Cheap, sometimes you get burned when you try to save a buck! Points for being aesthetic and packing nicely with a small footprint.

It’s a lovely way to make camping more cozy and intimate! It was a little chilly for spring camping, but my girlfriend loves to cuddle (as do I) and I appreciated the functionality of a two person sleeping bag :)

I like to sprawl out and I run warm so this bag is great for what i need. If you camp below 50F think about wearing some base layers and socks to ensure you keep warm. Now the one bad thing. The compression sack. I hope this is just an oversight and not indicative of overall quality. But i tried to cinch down one of the straps and the quick release buckle just gave up. I tried buckling it again to see if it just worked loose in transit. Nope it slips with any snug pull. Then checking the strap i noticed it was sewn in backwards. With the pull strap end out the strap twists. So not only did they mess up in assembly of this part of the strap but the components were defective. I did try to cinch the other strap to see if both are poor quality but the other one held, barely. The snap buckles are undersized. So if you must compress down the bag then test these first thing. If you don’t need to shrink it then don’t worry if this happens as the stuff sack is fine. Customer support was very nice and quick and offered to send a whole replacement. I don’t need the compression so i will just fix the buckles myself. Just check your gear before you use it. You never know if. The person assembling your gear was feeling sleepy for that one product.

It's a sleeping bag!

Bought this double bag for my wife and I to replace a lower quality one we had. Haven't been able to take it camping yet, but it did get some use sleeping in the hallway with the kids during the hurricane. It's definitely an upgrade over what we had. Lighter weight, better construction, packs better, and more comfortable. Stuff sack has lots of straps to cinch it down. It's pretty slippery though, which my wife is on the fence about (the reason for deducting a star).

Nice Summer bag, for 50+ degrees?

Nice bag, but it is definitely not a 20 degree bag - - see other reviews. Out flat, it is definitely thinner than my 40 degree bag. Even 4 layers of this bag are still thinner than my 20 degree mummy bag. My best estimate would be no colder than 50 degrees and likely better at even warmer temperatures. See other reviews for the additional insulation needed in order to reach lower temperatures.
