    Heir apparent.

SRAM has officially named a new successor to the X-Sync dynasty, and the young X-Sync 2 has arrived proclaiming improved chain retention over its legendary predecessor. Appropriately, it timed its entrance alongside the ground-breaking Eagle drivetrain, and the two make a hell of a pair. See for yourself with the SRAM X-Sync 2 Eagle 12-Speed Chainring. If your frame doesn't accommodate direct-mount chainrings, or you simply prefer a four-bolt design, this chainring's four-bolt construction still enables you to upgrade to Eagle.

With narrower teeth specifically shaped to accommodate the 12-speed Eagle chain, X-Sync 2's teeth look distinctively more shark-like than the boxier teeth of the original. This aggressive profile holds your precious chain firmly in place so it can smoothly glide onto the cassette, and it mimics the impressive wear profile of the original X-Sync, promoting longevity and preventing chain suck over time.

    • Upgrade to full Eagle with this four-bolt, one-by chainring
    • 6mm offset for ideal chainline with standard hubs
    • Refined tooth profile provides exceptional chain retention
    • Compatible for use with Quarq SRAM XX1 Eagle Power Meter
    • Item #SRM00BO

    Easy Install, Keeps you rolling

Paired this chainring with the Quarg XX1 Powermeter crankset for SRAM Eagle, and have been really pleased with performance so far. I like that I can change out the chainring easily, depending on the terrain I'm encountering for various bikepacking races.

    SRAM Quality

I've put it through the wringer

When you need a replacement ring it's hard to beat SRAM quality. OEM bolts right up and works flawlessly

Mounted this chainring on XTR M980s

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have a Stages PM and did not want to replace the cranks. This chainring mounted fine to my Shimano XTR M980 crankset using the existing bolts and nut-covers and it works like a charm. I've only done one hard, bumpy, muddy ride so far with the full Eagle setup and had no issues of any kind.

Is it OK to run a X-Sync 2 chain ring with an 11 speed chain? SRAM website says yes from what I can see (and this ring has SRAMs "11" graphic). Since the 12 speed chain is narrower I'd assume the chain ring teeth are as well which would be sloppy with an 11 speed chain
