Why We Like The HS2 Rotor
With a rotor like the HS2 Rotor from SRAM, we get improved braking performance at a value. It reduces noise while increasing heat dissipation, and it's designed specifically for mountain bike use. It features a new brake track pattern for increased pad traction and recessed spokes with thermal dissipating paint.

Best thick bois for Sram Brakes
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
They're probably good for other stuff too. Really expensive puzzle cutters with sharpening and modification? I used these on my park bike over the summer and they really reduced fade. Better calipers could go further, but the rotors with sintered pads screamed like Sramshees when they got dusty and slowed the bike whenever needed. So I ordered this set for my all rounder. A big boi in it's own right, a Niner e9 WFO. Compared the the centerlines that came with the bike these are much lower fade and noticably less free play as well. Thanks to the thicker rotors, the pads grab sooner and they've allowed me to go from two finger braking to one finger braking. In the name of consistency, they are now on all my mountain bikes.

Stands up to heat better than centerline
- I've used it several times
I’ve used sram center line rotors for a couple years now and the performance was great but once they get overheated you end up with a couple issues. Chatter and vibration. I decided to try the HS2 and see how they hold up. Performance is right there with centerline. Brake feel and stopping power are exactly what I’m used to. The big improvement is heat dissipation. I have yet to overheat them and I’m taking longer runs without having to stop and let them cool down. Very happy with the new design, way to go Sram!
