Pull on your skinny jeans, lace up the Chucks, mash the Spy Helm Sunglasses onto your face, and head out with your friends for a fantastic evening filled with cheap beer, indie music, self-righteous judgment, and irony. Oh so much irony.

well...I was totally excited to get a pair of there awesome looking shades...

Since I reside in Croatia at the moment I took me a great deal to order them from you guys, and then for my uncle to bring them over to Europe a few months later.

Love them, they are light, looking...however...I'm disappointed with the quality of the lens itself...

I'm a OAKLEY fan...had about 3 pairs until I decided I'll give a try to spy's (this came from the fact that I have a pair of superb SpyOptic snowboarding goggles and I"m more than happy with those in every aspect)...but to be honest I'm not happy at all with the quality of the lens...the frame is ok...even thought if you drop them (as I have) it shows instantly....

Would I recommend them...well...yes...if you are not a hardcore adrenaline junkie...but rather a "smooth operator" that will sit and have coffee all day long checking out chicks at the beach...

I think I'll stick to OAKLEY or Rudy Project in the future.

p.s. all heads up for the customer service, delivery and support to guys and gall's @ though

I am an Oakley fanatic. I own more pairs than any one person should, yet I wear these Spy's EVERYDAY. I used to own the Oakley Holbrooks's... the Helm's kick the Holbrook's butt.

These are also my go to running shades. They don't bounce and work much better than any athletic fitting pair. Plus I look super cool.

They are lightweight, durable, stay on your head when you walk inside and put them up, amazing in any light condition, I could keep going... These things have been dropped too many times and are hardly beat up. There may be a few scratches but I guess that's to be expected with the amount that I put these through.

They haven't broken or bent on me yet (I've sat on them in my car, had them shoved in my bag, dropped them countless times). You'd think I'd be more careful but sometimes I just forget they are on my head!

I've been told they are too big for my face. BUT I do not care one bit. :) They are so comfy and the color kicks BUTT. Plus there's the added benefit of no one being able to see me stare at them. The lens is killer.

These glasses are awesome. I got the FADE TO BLACK Rolling Hills/Bronze-Green Spectra colorway and they look awesome. If you like bright glasses these are for you. Great optics as well. Not too big not too small.

My boyfriend loves these sunglasses (especially because they have Ken Block's number on them). They fit perfectly, and you can switch up the color on the sides of the frame too!

    Cool Looks, OK Optics

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Usually, people shop for sunglasses based on looks. So, if you like these then you like these. They are slightly bigger and more square than Oakley Frogskins. A little smaller than their Holbrooks. The frame construction is fairly sturdy. I worry about the interchangable ear pieces though. The earpieces snap on and off sliding over a small ball bearing type plastic nub. If you swapped the earpieces consistently, I think the nubs would rub off and no longer hold the ear pieces to the frame. Also, the lens optics are a little sub-Oakley quality although they are MUCH better than cheap-o imitators like the Neff Daily Shades. Overall, I am very happy with the glasses, I am just partial to Oakleys construction and lenses when paying the same price. On sale, I would give these 4*'s and prefer them over the above Oakleys. If you need another celebrity face to look at, you can also find these on Aaron Kauffman in this seasons (3) Fast 'N Loud series.

    Perfect Summer Shades

Picked these up this past May to be my everyday around-town pair of glasses. They're super light-weight and stay put on my face pretty darn well for a non wrap-around style frame. The styling is spot on, the frames aren't obscenely large but are bigger than a traditional Rayban, a perfect middle ground in my opinion. Construction is just nylon grilamid so they don't have the acetate feel that a lot of people love. Doesn't bother me personally but they aren't going to be an especially tough frame. That being said, I haven't been gentle on these glasses and the are holding up just fine. The lenses seem to be a bit prone to collecting dirt and fingerprints, so be prepared to have a cleaning cloth handy if you like your lenses to be spick and span. My only concern with this frame is the removable temples, I'm just not sure how many times the hinge and temple pieces are going to be able to handle he removal process. You just have to be very deliberate and careful while switching the temples. Solid overall piece, would recommend to anybody looking for some casual and stylish eye-wear.

Great glasses! Fits a medium sized face

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've got a small face that usually makes most shades look huge on me. However, these glasses do a great job of a fitting most faces and look great. The overall quality of the glasses is good, but not great. So far I have dropped them while biking/hiking a few times and they've held up without any scratches. Still I wouldn't be careless with them!

    Spy Helm

I purchased these glasses in the Black/Grey colorway and love them. Spy did a great job of putting their unique touch on a classicly styled frame. I love wearing them while riding my street bike and they have also worked great on the inside of a helmet while dirt-biking. These are my daily shades that look great!!

      the high cost of steeze

There's a lot to really like about the Helm - pretty sweet color options, nice lenses, on-point branding, and the cool earstem interchangeability (bear in mind that not every pair comes with extras - look for "With Extra Set" in the title). The retro, squared-off flair (definitely dig the keyhole nosebridge) is also very on-trend, and is quite similar to the Oakley Holbrook and the Electric Knoxville, though the Helm lens profile is a few millimeters taller. That being said, while the construction and the quality seems fine enough, I think the Helm is a tougher sell than some of Spy's other offerings at this price point. The finish on the matte colorways is admittedly a little rough around the edges, and I'm also not crazy about the fit - seems like with the lightweight nylon grilamid construction and the hinge design, the frame would be quite a bit more flexible than it is, but the frame width and earstem angle isn't quite ideal for those with slightly wider heads. But at the end of the day, the Helm looks totally awesome and that was probably the whole point for Spy all along, so I'll just shut up now.

        * you can swap out the earstems, but their attachment points aren't any different than the Oakley Frogskin (who does NOT advertise this interchangeability), and I would assume this could increase the likelihood of breakage if not done correctly every time
        * $5 from your purchase of the "Keep a Breast" colorway (which comes in a fun, limited-edition "I love boobies" microfiber case) goes to the non-profit's education and awareness programs designed to "inform young people about methods of [breast cancer] prevention, early detection, coping and support."

        Block'd Outta Luck

Ordered the Ken Block Livery Helm's only to have my dreams crushed by Dogfunk when they shipped me the Primer Helm's instead and then ran out of the color I originally ordered after they told me they'd ship out the right Still a solid pair of sunglasses. They're comfortable and the lenses are dope and they kill the sun for sure. The extra temple pieces are a nice touch so you can switch out the color. It is somewhat nerve wracking though, prying them off the plastic knobs that holds them on. I can't imagine you switching them out more than 3-4 times without breaking something. Gonna be sending these ones back and ordering somewhere else. Later Dogfunk.
