Why We Like It

The biggest change from Crux 4 is aerodynamic. Specialized pulled directly from Tarmac SL8 wind tunnel work to reshape every tube on the Crux 5, and at elite gravel race speeds, that work translates into measurable watts saved over the course of a full day. The 55-millimeter tire clearance is new too, and wider tires at lower pressure hold momentum through rough sections where a narrower setup scrubs speed.
