    Tall and lovely.

A fresh take on classic riding boots, the Sorel Women's Lolla Tall Boot puts your best foot forward with a rich full-grain leather upper and striking wraparound strap at the heel and ankle. A rugged construction—consisting of waterproof leather, a stout rubber sole, and bronze hardware—lends the boot a rustic look and bolsters its overall durability. The cushioned insole is molded with a deep heel cup and arch support to deliver day-long comfort, and the textured sole ensures solid footing on fall's leaf-strewn sidewalks and winter's snow-packed streets.

    Very Strange Fit

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 11

I bought these a year ago from the Sorel website. I wanted the taupe/gray color that was only available there. I loved the look of these boots online, and the taller shaft appealed to me as well. After reading numerous reviews, I went a size up. I usually wear a 10 or 10.5 so I ordered an 11. I was surprised at how pointy the toe was, and even though the front of the boot was too big, my toes were squished. These boots are not attractive in a size 11. They just look so big, and feel big. the heel pushes me forward into the toe box, squishing my toes even further. They did stretch out a lot, so there's plenty of room for thick boot socks, but especially with my narrow feet, it ends up looking very unattractive. There's little traction, so even though they look utilitarian, they're not. They are excellent quality and will likely hold up for years, but they hurt my feet, and at this price I'd hope to get a compliment now and then, but I haven't gotten one. I really want to love these, hut I'm so disappointed. Sorel does not allow returns either.

    Stylish winter boot

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs small

I bough these for my girlfriend in the black color. They are a beautifully crafted boot and we both think they look awesome. They ran quite small for her, she normally wears a 7 or 7.5 and she had to bump up to an 8 in these.

    Great Stylish Winter Boot!

I got these Sorel Lolla Tall Boots earlier this winter and they have been my go to boots! I dont have to worry about them because the leather is waterproof and they just look better with age! They fit right under the knee and are super easy to get on and off.

    Worth it in every way!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 9

Alright. I live outside of Anchorage, Alaska, and boots are almost a year round item in my wardrobe. I don't mess around when choosing durable, insulated boots that can tackle the cold and keep me from falling on (too much) of the ice. For the past couple years I have been settling for basic "riding style" leather boots for those days I need to look nice for work or get more dressed up than usual. I didn't want to spend a lot of money as I usually purchased a couple pairs every year in different colors. This year I decided to treat myself and find something that can tackle the elements since my basic boots were not getting the job done.
I chose Sorel for the reasons we all do- durability, awesome traction, comfort and of course style. I read SO MANY reviews on these boots and had convinced myself that they would not fit me properly since everyone complained about sizing. When I saw them go on sale (let's be honest, under $200 for these boots is a total steal) I decided to pull the trigger and give in. And I can honestly say, I AM SO HAPPY with this purchase!
    Here is why:

Comfort-yo, these boots were snug and stiff straight out of the box. (Obviously). And they were very tight in the foot box area. BUT, I wore them around the house for maybe 10 minutes and already noticed a difference. They did not "stretch out a bunch" per say, but the material is much less stiff now. They are tall boots, but I measured them out before purchasing to make sure they wouldn't hit my knee in a weird area. They hit right under my knee which is perfect.

SIZING: I am generally a size 8 in shoes, but, usually an 8.5 in boots so I can wear a nice thick sock. I decided to go with a size 9 in these boots due to everyone saying to size up, and I think that was a great choice. I would probably be ok in an 8.5, but the 9 is great with my thick smart wools and winter socks. Once the material gets less stiff I might add one of those stick heel cushion things since I can already feel them being a tiny bit too large with thinner socks.

Durability: Awesome. Definitely waterproof (in the snow, not a down pour) the traction is great, the heel is not too tall to be uncomfortable walking through snow or ice.

Style: Holy cow, all my lady friends want these boots! Us Alaskans don't have a lot of stores and options so I usually buy things online and I got soooo many compliments as I wore them numerous times last week to work. Already directed lots of friends to get them while they are still on sale.

I have athletic, but not thick, calves. These boots do not irritate my calves in any way. They are not difficult to get on, but take some time to get off due to the small zipper. I just make sure to twist my foot the right way so my heel doesn't get into the zipper area and I'm fine. I do have pretty narrow or small feet, at least compared to other ladies that wear my same size.

Overall, I would highly suggest these boots. They are great on the style scale but equally as great in the durability area. I love everything about them, and I'm really happy I made this purchase!

    Hard To Get On

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got these for my sister for Christmas. She loved them and they are super cute, but very hard to get on and off. They run pretty narrow in the bed of the shoe. I would size up to make sure you are comfortable and have the ability to slide it on and off without strain.

    Beautiful boots but flawed design

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 8.5

Was totally stoked to get these boots. They are really beautiful! Great service from Backcountry super fast delivery. However, I wore these boots two days inside and the back strap split in half while walking in the grocery store. Totally bummed. These boots run small and they are narrow. They are somewhat challenging to get off as well. If you are looking for a great boot to wear with cute skirts or dresses, they are awesome. Great tread.

I bought these boots to be my winter warriors and keep me covered while walking through snow, while at work and anywhere in between. Also as a simple option to class up yoga pants. I have not been thrilled with them though. While they are great looking, the tight leather of them digs into the top of my foot and the strap on the back of one of them completely ripped within a month of purchasing them. I would order them a half size larger if I was to do it again. I am hoping the sorel warranty department doesnt keep me shoeless for too long as I will be trying to get them replaced or refunded due to the torn strap that I am holding together with my own stitching at this point.
