Fake heel

The heel of the boot is fake. It’s just a glued on layered leather strip. It’s just rubber heel.

I bought these about a month ago as replacement for my original Emelie II Chelsea boots from 2017. These are as close to my “ideal” boot as I can hope for. The main difference from the previous Emelie II is the flexible gore is not cross-over bands, which I prefer. This new generation is good. It is taking a bit of breaking-in/loosening up as the original pair was well worn.I originally got them for the miles of trekking around FR/Paris in the late winter (performed WELL over cobblestone streets as well as gravel trails & enough support for lots of museum & urban/parks touring, hiking. This pair is intended for some lighter trekking around Yosemite & Sequoia/King’s Canyon; saving the heavy hiking for heavier duty trail shoes.

This is my second pair, the first ones I bought in black and wear them constantly. This color is the perfect taupe, that goes with everything. They are comfortable, cute, waterproof and true to size. I would highly recommend.

I love these boots!

Beautiful boots that are durable and comfortable. I have a pair from 5+ years ago in black, and I decided I needed brown ones. The black ones are an 8 1/2 and fit perfectly, so I ordered the same size in the brown. They were way too big. I returned them and got an 8, and they fit very well. I tell people, "I forget that I have shoes on when I wear these." That's how comfortable they are. My feet are very narrow as well as flat, so I sometimes have to settle for uncomfortable shoes, and I'm so happy that I have these to wear in the wintery, wet weather. They hold up well!

New design doesn't meet the mark

New design doesn't fit like the old Emelie boots I've worn for years. The shaft is taller and smaller/tighter so they rub on my lower calf and bruise my legs. Miss the old ones. The quality appears fine but I cant wear them so who knows.

Nice Boot

Very nice looking, comfortable boot. The color can be worn with blacks or tan- nice shade between the two. I usually wear an 8.5 to 9 and I ordered the 9. It’s perfect with room for thicker socks.

Great purchase, quality boot

Felt a tad snug at first couple wears and I was worried I had ordered wrong size. Worn daily since got them and fit is perfect now. Also no heel pain with daily wear. VERY quick ship

Perfect Boot

Very comfortable & cute from the first wear. Will be wearing all winter! Love the traction and waterproof leather. Looks good with leggings to jeans to casual dresses.

Staple piece

This is my third pair in 5 years and I love them so much! The first pair had the sole wear out but I had it replaced and that was after a lot of miles! They only take a few hours of wear to break in the leather. They hold up quite well in the cold and wet PNW weather. I wear 9.5 or 10 typically. For Sorel, definitely 9.5.
