Cheyanne II Boot

The snow is piling up, and your fat skis are out in the barn loft—throw on the Sorel Men's Cheyanne II Boots before you trudge through the knee-deep powder to go get your powder skis ready for first chair. Sorel recreated these classics as genuine winter utility boots, perfect for wading through snow, shoveling the driveway, and climbing ladders in less-than-ideal conditions. Not only do the Cheyanne's rich full-grain leather uppers protect you from the elements, but they also give these boots a premium look and feel.

Fully taped waterproof construction keeps your feet dry while 200g insulation keeps toes warm and toasty during that early morning drive to the mountain for first tracks. When you take off your uncomfortable plastic ski boots, the Cheyannes, with their removable molded EVA footbeds, will feel like walking on clouds as you slip them on for aprés-ski drinks. Handcrafted waterproof vulcanized rubber outsoles with herringbone tread pattern give you ultimate traction on those snow-covered, icy sidewalks.

 • Waterproof snow boots take on the winter weather
 • Full-grain leather upper resists water and wear
 • EVA footbed is removable for easy drying
 • Rubber shell is waterproof and comfortable
 • Sorel comfort rates this boot down to -25F

The quality is what I would expect from Sorel. The boots are surprisingly warm and the toe box wide. Comfortable and dry. I ordered a second pair as a gift to replace my son’s damaged pair. Although the SKU# was the same, they were visibly different than both his older pair and the other new pair I got for myself. They fit more tightly in the toe box area, uncomfortably so...Even though the size was the same...so they were returned. Easy process for return. Probably a different manufacturer or slightly different design.. So you guess on size and try ‘em on...Like others have said, you never know for sure what size to order. That’s where easy returns are important! Back country is the best.

Brannock device: 11 I have a pair of Dude Moc's and have tried other Sorel boots on in the store, but hadn't seen these in stock anywhere local so I took the chance and ordered an 11, 11.5 and 12. Unfortunately these were all way too small. Sorel's variability in sizing is truly astounding as an 11 in their Madson Moc Toe was too large. Their boots look great, but best of luck trying to figure out what size to buy.

Runs large so I recommend ordering 1/2 size down. Very padded, rugged, waterproof to the max. Took it trail walking in Ireland. Arch support not the best (compared to LLBean) so I'd get an insole if you have arch/foot problems. Otherwise no problems.

Deep Trudger

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

This is the perfect boot for anyone looking for a winter boot. Classic duck boot design paired with a very nice insulated leather upper creates a warm and dry environment for your feet on those cold, deep winter days. Sorel knows what they're doing and these boots are no exception to that!

Great boots in Colorado

Picked these up at the end of the winter so I haven’t put them to the test. They feel extremely warm and comfortable. I like the height of the boot, I didn’t want anything too big and heavy. I agree with other reviews that they seem to run small. I sized up ½ size.

Happy with these Sorels, warm, well made, comfortable. haven't tested waterproofing yet. They run a bit small so size up, plus want a little bit of room to keep feet warm, let the blood flow and not get too clammy. I usually wear 8.5/9/0, bought a 9.5 and they fit perfectly. Wide toe box which is good for my wide foot. I wore them all day (including a few hours outside watching a game) and stayed warm without overheating or sweating too much.

When I first put the boot on, I was ready to return them. I thought they were too small at first. I took them off, repackaged them and was ready to send them back. I thought they were too small. But no, they're just a bit on the slim side. I gave them a second chance, and I still have the same pair. I'm glad I kept them too, because, damn, what a purchase.
Why the Sorel Cheyanne II Boots are great
I'm a fan of Sorel, through and through. I believe they're frickin' indestructible. I've had my first pair of Caribous for five years now. They're unscathed and perform like new. In fact, I just got back from winter camping in the Boundary Waters, wearing those suckers. At zero degrees, the cold just couldn't bother me in those. These boots are no different. Only, these are considerably lighter and a much more appealing choice for errands around town and sitting around the office. The boots are waterproof, no doubt. Sorel claims they're rated for 25 below. I believe them. The upper is durable as all hell and the boots are as comfy as can be. If you can, snag them while they're on sale. If you can't manage it, just save up. They're easily worth the money.

Nice boot but runs small

Good looking boots for snow and wet winter days. Boot runs small like other reviewers have mentioned. I normally wear 8.5 in shoes and ordered a 9 but even that was too tight with wool socks. Exchanged it for a 9.5 which Backcountry with it's excellent return policy was happy to help with.

Saw these on sale and ordered a pair, Men's 11.5, true to size. I like the Buff color version for the lighter leather color on top. Originally ordered size 12 as some commenters, here and other online reviews for the same boots, said that you should order 1/2 size UP for better fit esp. if you plan on wearing thicker socks. That was a bit too big and loose so returned it for 11.5 which fit better and more true to size though a bit snug. I can wear regular socks with orthotics and it just fit with about a thumb's space at the toe area. If you don't want it snug, then buy 1/2 sizes up and you'll have room to wear thicker socks. Note that the boots are lightly insulated so there's slightly less room but good enough to wear with regular socks. I wear orthotics and rag wool socks and have just enough room for my toes, about a thumbs width on top, which is almost perfect. With regular socks, I have more than enough toe room. If it wasn't for the insulation, it would've been near a perfect true to size fit. The boots are a little hard and do need some break-in time as it is snug but toes have room to wiggle and to move around in. The laces are Not that good and does Untangle so best to look for replacement laces. You may have to use a double knot to keep the knot from untying. The boots fit relatively well and looks similarly like the LLBean insulated boots. These Sorel boots have insulation from top to the bottom of the inner boot whereas the LLBean version is only insulated in the bottom portion of its boot. It feels warm and but haven't tested it yet outside but wears relatively well nonetheless. It's good that I can wear regular socks because of the light insulation, hopefully it will keep my feet, esp. my toes, warm when it's cold outside and provide good traction on rainy or snowy days. You can wear the Uninsulated boots but your feet will get cold during the winter months whereas these can possibly worn in 3 seasons, fall-spring, not summer, despite the light insulation, considering that these are marketed as winter boots, similar to the LLBean insulated boots. It's not as cumbersome or ridiculously oversized like the Sorel Caribou boots which I also own in size 11. Size 10 was Too snug so it appears that 10.5 would've been the better fit had it been available but NOT many places sell the 1/2 sizes!

Great snow boots

I wear a 10.5 and the sizing is true. I love these boots especially when it's wet and sloppy outside. Whether you're shoveling the driveway, hitting the town or headed to slopes these classics will keep your feet dry and your confidence high!

This was a gift, the recipient needed a size larger than he normally wears so take that into account. Other than that it seems well made and has what looks to be a solid, durable sole.

Look Great but run very small

Fit:

Order up at least half a size - if not a full size (if you are going to be wearing heavy socks). Surprised at the fit. Boot itself is great.
