Variance MIPS Helmet

From fresh corduroy to backcountry bowls, the Smith Variance MIPS Helmet combines technology and comfort for full performance. The hybrid shell construction combines a tough ABS shell with flyweight in-mold technology for a lightweight, protective fit. The impact-absorbing shell is backed by MIPS technology to reduce the rotational forces in the case of an oblique impact.

The Variance is equipped with the Smith x Boa fit system, which includes an ergonomic head form and an intuitive dial system for on-the-fly adjustment for a perfectly customized fit. An adjustable, AirEvac 2 ventilation system allows you to modify the amount of airflow and heat exhaust to provide effective climate control. Snapfit SL ear pads can be removed on warmer days and are audio compatible, so you'll always be able to hear your playlist. The removable Nanosilver performance lining offers comfort and resists odor to keep your helmet pleasant. A removable ultralight goggle lock helps keep your goggles in place so you won't have to stop and fiddle with your gear halfway through a run.
