    Double the fun.

Long gone are the days when you could blame those unexpected yardsales and equally as embarrassing tumbles on your goggles. Now, thanks to the Smith I/OX Chromapop Goggles with Bonus Lens, you're able to cruise through dark trees, open bowls, and endless vert, without the whole obstructed vision situation. More specifically, the I/OX boasts two extra large, spherical lenses that feature an anti-fog design, Patened Porex filter, and TLT lens technology for crystal clear clarity and distortion-free vision. Additionally, the Chromapop enhances color, contrast, and shadows for a seriously detailed view, while the OTG compatibility ensures those who need to wear glasses are able to do so.

    Great peripheral, no fog

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These goggles are my favorite pair I've come across in 17 years of skiing. The peripheral vision is my favorite feature due to the wide frame. The foam is thick enough to be perfectly comfortable but not too thick to be hot or sweaty. Having 2 lenses is always a plus, although they could probably be a little easier to change out. Still, changing the lens is easy enough to do on a chairlift ride, so its reasonably fast. They are definitely a large framed goggle and work best for people with larger heads.

    Wide Open

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Initially I was thrown off by how much foam was in my field of view when I first got these, thinking how could a goggle this large still have this much foam visible around the rim of the lens. While I thought this would be a deal breaker, I took them out for a day of snowboarding and immediately forgot all about the issue while getting my kit ready to ride. I didn't notice it for the rest of the day of riding either. Instead, I noticed how large the field of view is, how comfortable these goggles are, how well they manage fog or lack thereof, and how crisp the visibility is while wearing these. I don't regret my decision with these at all. Smith is at it again!

    Really Nice!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love the lens on these goggles, super clear visibility and the anti fog really helps. Also a seamless fit with your Smith helmet so can't go wrong with these.

    Best Goggles I've ever Owned

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I absolutely love these goggles. They work great with my helmet (basic Anon), are warm, and have great visibility. I prefer the silver/grey lens so no color is distorted, but they also come with an orange vibrant lens for brighter conditions. 5 star.

    Awesome Goggles

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Smith is known for making great goggles and these continue that tradition. The lens technology is as good as any I've used, both for low light conditions, and for the brighter days. The field of view is huge and the peripheral vision was incredible. Styling is always subjective but I love how these look. My one and only complaint is that it isn't the easiest to replace the lenses, but outside of that these are some of the best goggles I've used.

    Rad!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have had the same pair of I/OX goggles for the past four years and they have worked perfectly. The lenses are easily changed and the style and fit is great. Love these things.

    Wish I could return them

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love Smith and have worn their lenses (googles and glasses) since high school. I upgraded to these goggles from a much less expensive pair of Smiths. The lenses are high quality and I haven't had an issue with fogging at all, which is awesome since I fog up everything.

Super annoying: the lenses provided (everyday, sun) are great for bright light/sunlight, but suck in flat or grey light and snow. Backcountry doesn't sell alternative lenses although Smith makes them (for another $95).

Also annoying: these fit great on my previous helmet (Giro) but not my brand new Smith helmet. Does anyone at Smith talk to each other?

    Smith nails it again

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Another version in the IO series of goggles, and another awesome goggle from Smith. These goggles are comfortable, fit well with a lot of helmets on the market, and the lens clarity is great. When some brands give you just 1 lens for this price Smith gives you a bonus lens. Smith IO goggles have been, and continue to be my favorite goggles on the market. Now get out there and put them to use.

    Wow--I can actually see!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my first pair of polarized lenses and boy do they make a difference! I can't believe how much contrast there is on the mountain, and the low light lenses are especially awesome on cloudy days! The only thing that is somewhat challenging is changing the lenses. I had magnetic lenses on my previous pair of goggles that made changing lenses a snap. would highly recommend watching the youtube video about how to change these lenses.

    Function meets Style

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Excellent optics, huge field of view, and they even fit over glasses for the visually impaired among us. I'm very happy with them. Plus, they make me look cooler than I really am. 10/10 would recommend..especially if you wear glasses.

    Good goggles

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great goggles that don't fog during use. Sometimes they fog up when I stop moving, but as soon as there's a bit of wind entering the goggles, they clear up. It's a bit too difficult to change lenses though. Other then that they are great and look sick.

    Great goggles

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's really sad when you get old and have start wearing glasses, but you've gotta keep doing what you love, which for me is snowboarding!. I was so stoked to find these bad a$$ goggles that not only fit over my glasses, but look cool and don't fog up! I love the large size for many reasons, including the added sun protection for my face- another thing you start care about as you age! The goggles paired perfectly with my new Smith Allure MIPS helmet. Don't hesitate to get these items, or to order from Backcountry.com- they have the best customer service around!

    Quality goggles

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got these goggles as a replacement for my worn out Giro's. The construction and material of these Smith's are top notch. I'm not a huge fan of the detachable clasp on the strap which falls right where my helmet goggle retainer is located. If they felt the need for this feature it should have been located off center to allow helmet retainers to fit the strap without interference. Other than that I really like the fit and lens clarity. As other reviews mentioned, you'll need to read the instructions and practice changing lens a coupme times, but once you learn it, it is pretty easy. I don't find any appreciable improvement in my ability to see snow definition on flat light or storm days. I don't think any lens can really help when the light and visibilty are really bad. These are BIG goggles and just barely fit to my face with my helmet on so if you have a small face or large helmet it might be a problem. Ventilation is excellent so no fogging even on moist days.

    Beastly

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are incredible, the larger I/OX frame provides excellent peripheral view as well as looking very stylish paired with a Smith Helmet. I'm partially colorblind so the chromapop really helps increase the saturation and allow me to experience colors in a way I normally am not able to. I'll continue to rep the I/OX as long as they keep making i!

    Yeeeesss!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Smith does it all with Chromapop helping you see in any light conditions. I bought the I/07's at first and now they sit in my ski closet cause the lenses always popped out. Don't have that problem with these. The locking mechanism is solid and there's no way the lense is popping out.

    Smith IO/X

These goggles work well and I like the lens, but the buckle in the back doesn’t work well with my helmet. The snap of my helmet won’t fit over the hard plastic buckle of the goggle. It means that the goggles are always a little off center and push on my nose in the front. If you are looking to pair with a helmet with a snap in the back, beware.

Smith makes an item they call "helmet helper" it's about 3" long goes under your helmets goggle strap "clip"
and your goggle strap buckle no longer interferes. Any brick and mortar retailer ought to be able to get you one
for about $10 or you can contact Smith directly.
