The Second Cut Fleece 1/2-Zip is built from Smartwool's own pre-consumer Merino wool scraps, reprocessed into new fiber rather than left over from manufacturing. That reclaimed wool sits alongside recycled polyester in both the main body and the overlay, so the whole piece traces back to material that would have otherwise gone to waste. A regular fit, two secure pockets, and an interior rib collar round out a half-zip built for everyday layering, not a specialty piece reserved for one use.
