It is an odd fit
I love Smartwool and have several pieces. I usually order a Large and the fit is usually a bit big for me which I like. This top while stylish fits smaller. I feel like I'm always oulling the front down because it "rides up". Pockets fall in a strange location. It's almost like a tall person wearing a petite. It was a gift from my husband and I really should have sent it back since it will end up in the dark back corner of my closet.

The seam in the left arm was not stitched closed
I am really disappointed. I bought this for my wife, and when she put it on for the first time, we noticed that the seam in the left arm was not stitched closed. Smartwool is allowing me to return it, which I appreciate -- and which is the same as they would do if we simply did not like the product. Spending my time to take care a problem of their creation is disappointing, and this experience has made me very reticent to ever buy another product from Smartwool.

New Take on Smartwool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a versatile piece! It's a different feel than the typical Smartwool merino, a bit more tech, not quite as soft, but still extremely comfortable. I love the versatility of this piece. I wear it skiing and like that it's not skin tight so then I can go out to dinner or over to friends and feel like I'm in street clothes - not a base layer. Absolutely love this item, going to get another one! #smartwoolathlete

Prefer the Original Material
I didn't like the material and it was not what I expected. I chose the woven merino wool items instead on my next order.
