Anchor Line Shirt Jacket

Don't even think about forcing the Smartwool Anchor Line Shirt Jacket to stay inside, unless you're in the city in August. But mid-July in the mountains? Fair game. Essentially, the Anchor Line just wants to be outside, and its merino and nylon blend will help regulate your temperature whether you're chopping wood in October or heading out for a hike on a mild late winter day. Though it looks like a classic flannel, the Anchor Line has the thickness of a shirt jacket, so pair it with a baselayer and its warmth may surprise you.

Must Have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Men's Anchor Line Shirt Jacket from Smartwool, and I've gotta say, it's been an absolute game-changer for my wardrobe, especially during those unpredictable winter seasons. The quality of the material is top-notch, providing just the right balance of warmth and breathability that's essential whether I'm out on a brisk morning walk or enjoying a cool evening by the lake. The fit is spot-on, offering enough room for layering without looking bulky, which is a real plus. What really sets this jacket apart is its versatility. It's become my go-to piece for everything from casual outings with friends to more rugged outdoor adventures. And the style? Just perfect. It has that classic look that never goes out of style, paired with a level of comfort that's hard to come by. It's clear Smartwool put a lot of thought into the design and functionality of this jacket, making it both practical and stylish. I also appreciate the attention to detail, like the snap buttons and chest pockets, which add a nice touch of functionality without compromising on the jacket's sleek look. It's the kind of quality and craftsmanship you can feel the moment you put it on, and it's made to last, which is important to me. A solid 5 stars from me!

Excellent fit and style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a gift. It fit just like the description. Being able to look at the measurements of the models really helped! It was the most loved gift I've ever given, I think. Also, I received some Smartwool items this year as a gift, and i loved them. This brand is quickly becoming my go-to favorite for gifts and for myself

Lots of compliments on the plaid color

Great quality, fits well in shoulders, slightly long in the body while being slightly short in the sleeves for someone 6'3". Very nice color and works well over a light weight sweater or long sleeve t shirt. I receive lots of compliments on the shirt jacket.

Would buy again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought size XL for my husband. He's usually an XLT. The fit is big enough for him to layer underneath and the sleeves are long enough, which is generally the issue for fitting him.

All time product right here!

Excellent shirt jacket. Office wear. Date wear. Classed up casual wear. Collecting as many as I can. It's one of my favorite things to wear. Warm and durable. Breathable and comfortable. Always happy to see multiple color options in a season, I really like the solid colors the best. Hope this one stays in the lineup for a long time. I will have them all! The old herringbone pattern deserves a reissue as well as the gray/black square plaid!

This Shirt Jacket is awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's warm as all get out. Functions with just a t-shirt or with a flannel. If you're wearing a baselayer, you just need one more layer to cut out the wind in deep winter. I already got a compliment on it from a complete stranger in public. I'm a stand-offish 44 year old dude.

Wind and water resistant, extremely warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Manages to be both warm and windproof without any type of liner. Runs a little bit for me, making it more suitable as a top layer than a very thick mid layer as I'd intended, and it's way too itchy to ever be worn as a shirt- but as a jacket, can't be beat. #sweepstakes

Quality is there but sizing is off.

Fits well around the chest but the body is a bit too long for a shirt jacket. It should end at about the halfway point of your zipper, but I'm 5'10" and it reaches to the end of my crotch. Seems like it's made for 6'10" and skinny. On someone shorter than myself, you would look like a kid wearing dad's shirt. I still marked "I would recommend" because the quality is there if you're a taller guy.

Just Ok

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice wool shirt soft a comfy. It won't be replacing my Bean Chamios shirt as first in rotation though. Also sleeves are really long compared to width across shoulders and chest.
