The Smartwool Active Fleece Wind Pant puts a windproof front panel rated at 1 CFM behind a non-PFC DWR finish, so a cold headwind doesn't cut through on the way to the trailhead or the chairlift. A merino layer sits against the skin for warmth while a durable synthetic shell takes on the wind and rough weather from the outside, with a merino-lyocell lining adding another layer of soft insulation underneath. The body-skimming athletic fit and flatlock seams keep the pant moving with a stride instead of chafing against it.
