I have a pair wore maybe 50 time's on 3rd set of shoe laces. Square holes to be redesign. The felt on the bottom is to large and won't except the aluminum cleats. My opinion not worth the money.

Fits like a glove
I will start out by saying these boots fit like a glove and are true to size! I bought them for a two month fishing trip on the South Island of New Zealand. When I first laced them up I was impressed on how well they fit and the great ankle support they provided. On this trip I decided not to use the Aluminum Cleats due to fear that they would spook the super spooky fish of NZ. The TPR cleat did a great on the snotty and slick rocks and the ankle support was amazing! I fished 40 days straight with them and they held up to all the abuse that I threw at them. If you are looking are looking for a one quiver, do it all wading boot these are the ones you want to buy!

Noticeable fit improvement
Massively improved fit. Fit is everything on these. Previous iterations, I thought were pretty tight with proper size simms wader stockingfeet. Made it hard for long days. This fit is perfect. Lacing system is solid and doesn’t loosen on long days. I like the new cleat system. Only reason I didn’t put this as 5 stars is the aluminum quality on the cleats. They wear out faster than I’d expect, but luckily easily replaced. I hope Simms will release a more durable aluminum for replacement cleats.

I am very pleased and love the shoes that I got I’ve been fishing three times already and they are amazing. I do lots of fishing at Pulaski, New York, and the grip that I get from these shoes are amazing. I recommend to anybody about the shoes again very very happy with this.

Boots are the most comfortable ones I’ve owned. However, every time I have taken them out with the aluminum pucks I lose at least 1. The tpu cleats do good enough for me, just really disappointed that a boot in this price range has that big of a problem

Not impressed with these boots
I had five of the power lock aluminum pucks come off, while I was crossing rocks and threw me off, balance, resulting in falls, or near falls over the course of three hours of fishing. Fortunately, I brought my other felt bottom boots, and was able to continue fishing. I found all of the disks at the riverside and promptly returned these to the retailer that I purchased them from. Yes, I watched the video Simms provided before I installed the power locks and installed them with the fly shop associates help. While returning these boots, another shopper said that their friend bought the same boots, and had to use Loctite to keep the pucks in. I have had numerous golf shoes and never had this problem . I am very familiar with these types of devices and did not over tighten them. When the pucks dislodge These shoes could be dangerous if it resulted in a fall. The area I was fishing in had jagged rocks and boulders that have been blasted out of the mountain wall and put down for a roadway at the rivers edge. Additionally, as the boots got wet, they seem to get very loose in the heel and ankle area. I have other Simms products and I’m very happy, but these boots did not meet the mark. I think the premise of a quickly changing traction system was a great idea, but it is not working for me.
