Great jacket! True to fit and it covers all the bases.

very good for intended use.
this jacket is excellent. However, the wrist cuffs are very annoying. I came from a freestone jacket that had the adjustable cuffs on the outside of the jacket and worked great. the sleeves if the G4 continuously slide over my hands. The internal cuffs are ok at best. Now that being said, when i purchased my G4 no one said anything about a new version coming out, which guess what.....has external adjustable wrist cuffs. Although this one thing is my only complaint on the "old" G4 I can't help but feeling a little gipped. #firstworldproblems

Great Jacket
Initial Impression are great, as with most higher end Simms stuff. Gore Pro is bombproof and the cuff design is best that I have used. Only downside is the hand warmer pockets are a bit awkward as they double as back pouch access.

Fits perfect. Light weight and lots of pockets. Great on those wet windy days. One thing I do miss is the long pocket across the back of the jacket. It was a good place to store my guides licenses and other paper work that we need to carry with us.

I have not tested the jacket yet, I live and fish in British Columbia’s wet coast, so be assured it will get tested. The jacket fits well and visually the quality looks excellent.

Best All-Around Foul Weather Jacket
Probably the most versatile jacket I have ever owned! Pockets for all fishing needs without crazy overkill, very well thought out. Fit is true, construction is excellent. This jacket made me shelf my Arcteryx, and that's hard to do.

Fantastic Wading Jacket
I was able to layer under my G4PRO wading jacket enough for long boat rides to get to the river. It kept the wind out and was big enough for a fleece. The chest pockets kept the water out when trying to get to that spot to present a fly to those lunkers. It was well worth the $.

Rain All Day, Dry at night
Guiding on a day in which we got 6+ inches of rain is no easy, let alone comfortable task. Having picked this up only a few weeks prior I really put it to the test. It managed to keep me comfortable and dry all day long in a rain the never seemed to give up. It’s nice to know this will keep on the water longer!
