Why We Like The Flyweight Wading Boot
Designed to not only keep comfortable in the river, but also maintain comfort on the hike to and from, the Simms Flyweight Wading Boot is the boot we need for venturing far and wide to find the perfect spot. From the lightweight, synthetic upper to the Vibram Idrogrip outsole, this boot is fully featured for wading and hiking. The outsole is stud-compatible in case we want to customize traction options, but grips rocks and trails on its own as well. Underfoot, a dual-density EVA midsole provides cushion to reduce fatigue stride after stride.

They are easy to put on and fit very well and comfortable fishing and wading all day long.
One of the best wading boots that I have worn in 40 years. Very comfortable and lightweight. Fantastic.

Lightweight wadiing boot
I love these wading boots. They are lightweight and easy to hike in when you need to walk to your favorite fishing spot. The vibram sole works well in all states where felt is not allowed.

Fly Weight Boots
The Flyweight Wading boots are lighter than any wading boot I have used. They are great if you have to hike a bit to get to the fish. They are also great when hoisting the legs and feet up to get in or out of a river boat. I wear a size 12 New Balance shoe and a size 13 in the Fly Weight boots fit great.

Good lightweight boot
Generally a great, lightweight boot for fishing. It should be wider to accommodate thick winter socks + waders. I have a wide foot and the bulk of waders plus socks means I had to buy 2-3 full sizes big and it still is too tight, except for wet wading. I use them lots as a fly fishing guide and the laminations started coming apart and the lace eyelets (fabric) wear out easily, but I use them more than most and am satisfied with quality. I'm on my second, bigger pair now, so that tells you something. I also put in a different insole with better arch support.

All good.
I've been wearing the low top version and decided to support my ankles at last. Good in every way.

Flywieght Waders
Solid walking boot but light and the adherence is poor compared to cleated boots in swifter water and uneven bottoms. It is better suited to slower water and conmsistent bottoms.

Great product but…..
Overall I like the material and the traction. They are very light and easy to put on. However they are very snug around the ankles and irritated my ankle bones on the sides. That may just be me. I decided to sell these and bought the same version in the shoe style (not the boot) and it worked great! I wore both with Simms new wader socks and neoprene socks over that. Definitely recommend getting one size up.

Repeat purchase
This is my second pair after I ran my first pair into the ground after a few years of heavy use. Super lightweight and great for hiking in for those short walks to your fishing spot.

Awesome
Great wading boot if you need to hike into spots. I do recommend studs for slippery rivers.
