Simm's CX Jacket

My First Simm's CX Jacket I been wearing Grunden's for decades. So I decided to give Simm's a go for river fishing only. Love how it's manufactured, the color was the only one you had in my size for this particular model. I do like the sage black and grey extremely conservative 👍When I get out on the river I will leave a better review. Thank you. Michael 🎣🎣 4 🌟 for now.

Love the feel and the fit enough room for those Simms hoodies under the jacket for those cold days of fishing

Less than mediocre

Here is a real review of using this in the rain fishing for & hours. The material is not very water repellent so it will absorb water and become less breathable. The wet material will cause you to be much colder than if it repelled water. The material continues to the inside of the cuff. This allows the water to wick up inside if the sleeve and you will eventually be wet to at least your elbows as it will then get your jacket, sweatshirt etc inside wet and it’ll pull that water up to your elbows. This will make you much colder than you would otherwise have to be. A simple design solution. Is to put an internal cuff/gaiter sort of deal and to not continue the material to the inside or change it to one that doesn’t absorb water! It’s a rain jacket it should repel not absorb. A couple other things if it’s raining and cold you will likely have things in your pockets to stay dry or put your hands in etc there is no drain hole in the pockets and they will fill with water but the end of the day but if there was a small drain hole in the pocket they would maybe be damp but not have a lake inside of them. Last complaint is there is no vent in the hood so if you are in a boat the hood most certainly will billow out and flap hard and this sucks when you are in a bass boat. One would think for the price there would be more design features that made this jacket actually functional.

As of today I have only tried the jacket on and will try it outdoors once the weather warms. So for it seems like it will work well for me.

I like all aspects of both the coat and bibs. Well put together, fits great, and exceptional performance in cold and wet conditions. Layers underneath allow for staying comfortable as the temperatures change throughout the day. Well worth the investment.

I was able to wear this a few times and and I love this jacket. Very flexible and holds up in the rain!!!!

Great fit purchased several clothing items in the past and they always fit very true to size I’m an XL and it’s hard finding good fitting gear Never missed with anything from simms

Outstanding protection

Amazing protection. Fit and feel is perfect. Mobility and comfort is outstanding. Very first day I wore this out on the ocean in a storm and it kept me dry and warm. I’m on the water seven days a week and I need something to keep me warm and dry every day this jacket is exactly what I was looking for. Captain Ross.
